Did anyone actually ask for this?

So apparently Playtonic is remastering Yooka-Laylee.

Who asked for this? Who thought this was a good idea?

    A few things, Playtonic:

    1. This game is only seven years old.

Will try and get an update or two out soon, but...

...These next two weeks at work are going to be stressful as hell.

I just have to say one thing, just to get it off my chest.

If any of my readers are private health inspectors with standards higher than local laws, I just have this to say:

    That is all.

    Good night.

    Tell Your Tale: P + P = BFFs

This week, we've got a... Somewhat touching Posey episode?

Think this would benefit from a longer runtime. I also laughed harder than necessary at Izzy in the very beginning.

No last minute victor this time, most likely. · 5:31am Dec 13th, 2023

So I pretty much played Baldur's Gate 3 all evening after work. Seven hours.

I'm having a good time for the most part; the story is grabbing my attention quicker and harder than Divinity Original Sin 2 did, but I have to be honest; I really don't think this is going to pull an Elden Ring and take my personal Game of the Year in the final weeks of 2023, for one single reason:

If it wasn't for save scumming (reloading a save until you get favorable dice rolls), I'm pretty sure I would have quit three hours in. I can feel the game flipping me off every time I roll a 1.

I think I can hear Baldur's Gate fans saying "Only seven? Lol!"

Joking aside, I've seen a stream marathon of the first Baldur's Gate, and the impression I get is that the RNG becomes less dickish as you progress and your stats improve. But I don't blame you for losing patience for a game if you're not sold on it after seven hours.

It's not that I'm losing patience, but save-scumming is very common, according to the posts I've seen, the most common reason given is that bad rolls quickly sap the fun.

That's a pretty glaring flaw in an otherwise very solid experience so far.

I've started my honour run a few days ago, which is hardest difficulty, harder bosses and single save-file. You can't save-scum if you wanted to. Granted, having the experience of three playthroughs softens the blow a lot, and I'm playing bard so I can talk my way out of most situations, but so far, the dice rolls have only screwed me over a little bit.
