Though Chrysalis has been defeated and the Changeling nation have accepted friendship, there are still a few drones out there in the world who continue to hold onto the old ways. One such outlier, out on the hunt in Canterlot, runs out of luck when he finds himself meeting one of the very ponies who defeated him the last time he was in this city.

Sombra has been vanquished once more, and Equestria again enjoys its time of unprecedented harmony. Twilight Sparkle, newly-appointed successor to the two royal sisters, knows that a great responsibility awaits her. But as she dwells on this new and unexpected future, she thinks to the past, and to the one whose throne she will inherit.

Living life without magic in a world you hoped to escape from is no easy thing. But for Adagio, Aria and Sonata, it is nevertheless the life they have. So, they try to cope, day by day, as best they can, however mundane it may get.

Smolder learns to feel comfortable in her own scales, by loving yourself only then will the inner beauty shine through in time.

As it turns out, having a high frequency of traumatizing magical crises on campus tends to upset the PTA, and now Principal Celestia has landed firmly in their crosshairs. After the fiasco at the Friendship Games, Superintendent Neighsay has had enough and forces Celestia into administrative leave, awaiting review. When the two school officials meet face to face, though, Celestia is ready to show that she's not giving up her position without a fight—and that she can hold her own in the face of Neighsay's wrath.

But Luna proposes an idea - a Nightmare Night spent with Celestia. Initially turning her younger sister down, Celestia rethinks her decision, and heads towards Ponyville in earnest. However, she has no idea what this festival involves, and is in for a surprise once she finds out...

This is a sequel to Anarchy: Pony of Chaos.

After learning that the Terrible Trio, the three villains who got closer than any other to destroying Equestria, were still aware and awake while frozen in stone, Princess Twilight Sparkle has decided to commute their remaining sentences and find appropriate forms of parole for each of the prisoners.

But while Cozy Glow has been remanded to the custody of Equestria's new Princess of Chaos, and Tirek has been shipped back to his homeland and his family, Chrysalis is proving a very tricky being to imprison, control, or reform. She's simply too cunning, too powerful, and perhaps too crazy.

And that is why Twilight has called in the experts. Not only will she seek answers from the Reformed Changeling Empire and its Royals, but also with a certain former Student of Friendship. Perhaps, together, they can provide Chrysalis a second chance at friendship.

Or it will end in flames. Only time will tell.
