I got reviewed! · 8:07am Jun 18th, 2020
Hey there, my dear followers!
One of my older works got reviewed by the wonderful Jarvy Jared. It's a really good work so I figured you might wanna check that out.

The roving science fiction and fantasy convention known as Worldcon — home of the Hugo Awards, and attractant for a giant glob of professional SFF authors, creators, and fans — is in California this year! It’s been on my bucket list for a while, and I couldn’t pass up the chance to go when it was right in my backyard.
This is a few days old, but so is a lot of things. Just read the blog.
Currently in the car on the way to Babscon 2019. (Don't worry, I'm not typing as I drive -- Rocket Lawn Chair and Caliaponia and I are carpooling.) See some of you there!
Had a few readers inquire about Maire's appearance. I drew a lot of inspiration from this image I found while browsing. So it's as close to a visual representation as I can get. Cheers.
Given the current locked-down state of the world, and everyone trying to adjust to full-time life at home as the new normal, it's super exciting to see how the MLP community is coming together for online conventions. A great way to touch base, have fun, and learn new things. In this case, it's also a rare opportunity for a live Horizon sighting!
Geez, I haven't swung by FIMFiction in a dragon's age. But I've survived the pandemic (so far), I'm weathering California's increasingly insane and prolonged winter, and tomorrow I'm headed to Babscon! All expectations are for a weekend full of drunken pony Tarot reading, reconnecting with fellow authors, Klingon room parties, and a Wilderness First Aid recertification class that absolutely couldn't be rescheduled.
I may have had Maud cameo in a certain Dusk-synonym Shiny-synonym's village quite a while back.
So basically...
I know I haven't been active around here lately -- kinda fell out of the habit of everything during the pandemic, including writing. But I'm still forcing myself out the door for conventions every once in a while!
Case in point: I'm in San Francisco this weekend for Babscon, doing my not-actually-patented Drunken Pony Tarot Readings and mostly just kicking it and seeing what other authors are around. Come say hi!
Good news for people trying to check the rare and beautiful Horizon off of their pony-watching lists! I'm having quite a ponyriffic year, with no less than three brony conventions on the agenda.
First: I'm currently in the whirlwind of trying to get ready for Babscon, which starts in two days. In fact, not only will I be there, but you'll have two entirely unrelated opportunities to get a dose of my work!
Look at those, er, dead faces. Don't you just wanna hug them? ...Maybe?
Anyway, Happy Nightmare Night to all. I figured it would be as good a time as any to update you all on upcoming chapters to stories.
I've been following an adorable Hearth's Warming story for years, and tomorrow (Christmas!), inlustriusghost is posting the final chapter!

Bright Winter Nights is a WONDERFUL little story, and I've already gotten a sneak preview at the ending. Give this one a look!
I don't have much to say. It seems to be that, around this time of the year, I get heavily distracted by potential shopping ventures and just about anything on the internet. They're nasty habits to get into and even as I write this, I kind of feel like just flaking this off for a few more minutes while I watch YouTube.
words are swimming on my screen
i'm not dyslexic i swear
i'm just overtired mebe?
my head hurts
Holy poopsacks, the recap of the fourth leg of the multiparter is finally done! That was some bullshit, what Ring's tech was doing to him. He also wishes it to be known that we're going to try for this schedule from now on, having the recaps ready on the day the next parts launch.
I'm alive! And have writing news, enough so that I need to do a State of the Author post for the first time in a while. But in the meantime, a quick heads up:
I'm about to fly to Seattle for this year's Everfree Northwest! Expect author social time, general convention shenanigans, and drunken pony Tarot readings in the evenings once the liquor starts flowing.
