So is the moral of this story basically "sellout and write what the masses want?"
I feel like such a morale would be better delivered with someone like Rainbow Dash as the narrator. It doesn't seem in-character for Twilight Sparkle (aficionado of obscure literature and oft-forgotten historical figures) to abandon something she's passionate about in favour of something she isn't really.
Poor Twilight... she is a victim of the Magnum Opus Dissonance Trope...
Maybe she should try publish other genres (like mystery or adventure) under a pseudonym (like Stephen King with the Richard Bachman name, and J.K.Rowling with Robert Galbraith) and later reveal her identity - maybe it could change how her work is viewed by the public...
P.S. I would add the tag Drama, since the story is a bit serious.
