The Diamond Dog Caste System was a rigid structure. Lupustrad it was made especially clear-- where your birth dictated where you would go in life. To rise above your station was all but a death sentence that could only be lifted through trial by combat in the Pits, where you rose to become top dog, or you died like the rest of the unlucky mutts.

This was to be Rover, Fido, and Spot's sentence when they returned home-- hoping that their deposit of gems could buy their way to the top of the food chain. Nay, this was an insult of the highest degree towards the caste system.

Their fate, however, was in the hands of the smallest pup. A single puppy named Rocky, who is of the same litter as the Great Dane, a honest to goodness Prince for all intents and purposes, wanted to see the three prosper, to see change be brought to his people. It only takes a single step... and Rocky must take that step. He must beg the ponies that put his friends in that mess to help them.

Who knew this would be the start to an adventure that would take him through the trials and tribulations of what it meant to be a king, or a friend?

Hello everybody. Thank you for giving this story a chance; and to the moderators as well for taking the time to review my work before allowing it to be posted. I suppose to get this out of the way, I shall put the disclaimer at the very forefront to get things rolling.

I do not, in fact own anything that appears in this story. Be it any references from other pop culture, music, literature, or even the names used by famous people. No, it is all brought together to simply enhance the story to help bring the best out of it. Or at least, what I believe to be its best.

This does not follow any of the comics made for My Little Pony, so any mention of Dimondia is null and void in this story.
