Sunset was simply curious, at first, and it really hadn't been anything more than a way to start the conversation. Twilight's reaction, though, had definitely piqued, and she wasn't going to let the matter slide away so easily now that things had turned out like that. Though she certainly didn't expect such a coincidence.
This was some fun, flirty, metafictional fluff... and then I hit that last paragraph.
I suppose the rest hadn't been surreal enough for your purposes, huh?
This was a cute, quick fluff, except:
Quick question to the others in the comments, is this kind of author known for his surreal works and stuff? Just curious.

Agreed. And, VERY metaphysical. Like I said, a cute, quick fluff. And yes, I've read some of that series, but it started creeping me out after the third one. I also noticed he wrote the Things Change series, as well.
Cute story

Hehe. Yes. *Even more aggressive, totally not subtle, hinting cough*

9476745
Has he ever once commented on his stories though? I can't remember a time when that happened.
9476756
Maybe, with effort, we can get him, too.
That last paragraph.
So... does Sunset suffer from paranoid schizophrenia? Or waking hallucinations? So perhaps her stories about those with mental disabilities has more of a first hand bit of experience to them... That drastically changes the tone of this story when applied to the entire conversation they shared.
It's almost creepy how real that story got on me. Seriously, I too have someone very close to me in my life who does not know I write on this site. And that person does too occasionally grab the device I write them on while wondering what I am doing. It even get the bit about them knowing I read stories on the site and the balancing act talking to them about stories is without revealing too much. Seriously, is this a common thing among fan fic writers or are you saying on me.
Is the last paragraph trolling us?

Not sure but probably a combo of trolling, messing with us, and just having a laugh knowing we'll leave comments like this.
Meta-stories FTW. :D
All these comments about that last paragraph, and no comments on how Sunset just bluescreened Twilight? (Which when it happens to a person I always seem to imagine having an accompanying 1kHz sine tone like the one that the SMPTE color test bar pattern usually has with it.)
