I'm sure she didn't do it intentionally, but Celestia showing up at this exact time will be devastating to Luna's reputation.

When the story is told later, ponies will talk about how Luna spent days (or was it weeks?) trying to take Pegasopolis, only for them to surrender as soon as Celestia showed up. And on the flip side, the Pegasi of Pegasopolis will associate the worst of the siege with Luna, with Celestia appearing just before the end of the siege may cause them to see her as a savior.

If Celestia had arrived any sooner, she'd have been helping in the siege, and Luna's competence and authority would've overshadowed her. If she arrived any later, Luna would likely have already won.

"Nothing wrong!" he said excitedly. "But we have a visitor! Your sister's here!"

Too damn true. After all, history is written by the victors. And in this situation, the ponies in Luna's command are the victors. They will corelate the city's surrender with Celestia's arrival. Not the siege Luna helped uphold. A sad truth it is.

I really hope Celestia is also seeing Luna's memories so she realizes what kind of pony she really is.

Yeah, I know that feeling very well when an Arc blows every planned barrier one set for themselves, but you are handling it fantastically. I have dropped stories because they went out of bounds or deviated from the main plot too much, but not this one. It's a great story where the deviation from the main story, even though it is a backstory that feeds into the main events, does not diminish any interest I have in Lucna.

Do not feel discouraged by the criticism 3 people(me included), openly stated. We love your story, and we will stay with the story until the end and will continue to enjoy it. You rock, don't feel down or pushed by our statements, and please continue being awesome.

I concur. To be honest, I was pretty much fishing for some hint that the story was, in fact, going to rake Celestia over the coals. I was beginning to have doubts because of the ratio of flashback scenes to present day scenes.

Based on the tags in Neph's teaser image, I feel optimistic.
