That's what I was thinking. Perhaps it's a supposed haunted house by the locals with a legend revolving around a fire and a disappearance, with no one knowing that the house used to belong to Celestia and Luna and Luna was the one who disappeared since she was sent to juvie for her bad behavior. A good EQG episode would have been the Humane 7 investigating the house and all getting freaked by the stories (basically an EQG version of 'Castle Mane-ia") til Celestia and Luna arrive to investigate the ruckus and explain the house's real past.
