My crossover story starts in the late '90s and ends ten years later during the late 2000s. In some respects, on a cultural and societal level, we seem to be going back to the mentality of that era. People my age are clinging to nostalgia harder than ever, and we're seeing something of a revolution creatively and artistically. The implication at the end of the story suggests ponies would maintain contact from there on once that emotional bond was established. It makes me wonder what they would think and how they would feel seeing our culture come full circle today. Assuming they were young adults during both the canon and crossover timelines, they would be around their forties now. It'd be interesting to see a bunch of old mares backing up youth on Earth during this period of emotional upheaval. While it's true each generation has their differences, you'd be surprised how many are in favor of redeeming humanity. There's something to be said for experience and wisdom.
