March 15, 2020 was the start of the community quarantine and it will last until April 14. With COVID-19 becoming a pandemic, the best advice is staying at home and washing hands regularly to avoid the highly contagious virus. As I went to the mall on March 15, I noticed that it was almost like a ghosttown. Of course, I wore a mask for the sake of my health. There were a few people walking around and a few restaurants have been temporarily closed such as Mary Grace Cafe, Starbucks, and
I hate this year. And not for the most obvious reasons. Anyone who has been keeping track of my activity on this site probably remembers my choice words for 2018, which I still hold up as the worst year of my life. But if 2020 does not outright dethrone that year, then 2020 is at the very least the most miserable year of my life thus far. And the COVID-19 pandemic isn’t even a significant factor in it.
Hello readers! Just a quick thought post here to finish off the month. A sort of combination “look back” along with some thoughts on things.
luck can't last forever, and after three years of doing my best to remain diligent the plague decided to fight me for keeps. i'm on the road to recovery now, but it's been a rather sucky week to say the least. by the grace of the chaotic gods i was at least speedy on working on brightly lit for pen, at least once it was shoved under the doorjamb to my office
Little mid-hiatus story status update here,
Pandemic: Departures - close to wrapping, the last handful of chapters are being worked on. (I'm guessing that there's roughly 18-20,000 words left to write in total). This should return sometime in the next two to three weeks.
As some of you might know, I studied biomedical engineering while I was at Vanderbilt. That was more than a decade ago now, which is crazy to think about.
So I'm trying something a little different with this post. As I write and develop my stories I have a tendency to write up a fair amount of documentation on the development process as a whole, the vast majority of which never gets seen. So I figured that sharing little snippets of that documentation every once in a while would be a productive way of getting it out there.
For volume 1 I'll be focusing on the larger theme behind New Horizons that has definitely gone over people's heads.
When I first started writing back in December I never imagined that I'd be penning anything more than a simple one shot or two here and there, and yet I'm here with 3 published stories, weekly updates for one of them, and two other projects in active development. Each of my stories has served as an important learning experience to me and in the case of Departures it really shows a lot when you compare the early chapters to some of the latter ones (Chapter 3 is especially hard to re read for me
Just a quick thanks to everyone reading ‘MLP EG Forever’—both long time and new readers—and thanks for all the recent faves/follows as well.
It’s been a while, Zytharrians! How are all of you doing? Lots going on recently, so I thought I’d update all of you as to what I’ve been up to!
The 💀 deaths ☠️ of these idiots does not bother me because they do it to themselves by refusing to wear masks 😷 and get 💉 vaccinated, but the hundreds of thousand these morons murder by overwhelming the hospitals 🏥:
It’s been three months since my last status report, and I feel it’s time for another one. Things definitely haven’t played out as I anticipated them to. For one, I hoped I’d finally get enough free time to make significant headway on all of my pony and non-pony projects. Well, nope.
Y'all may notice that, aside from some scattered blog posts, I haven't been doing much on FIMfic lately. And there's a good reason for that.
IN WHICH I WEIGH OPTIONS
Here in Flyover Country, it's Thanksgiving Eve. No gatherings obviously, but turkey's roasted. Enjoy music.
So, no real lead-in. Just please follow me past the "Continue Reading" prompt.
Hello folks!
Hey, it's been sometime since I last wrote here. Wow.
I just wanted to give you guys an update on what's been happening. Quite, frankly? Not alot. Working as usual and due to the world-wide pandemic my place of employment, aka; retail. Has been busier than ever, so I apologize for that my lovelies.
In this edition of “Behind the Scenes” we’ll be looking at Stardust’s early chapters and how it evolved from its earliest concepts and into the story we have today.
This one may be a bit more spoilery so fair warning.
Firstly, happy Halloween! the best holiday in my personal opinion
If you didn't catch it, Stardust got a secret unplanned Midnight update. I hadn't planned to release one this month, but realized I had most of the chapter framed out and set up, so decided to take a break from my other main project and give it some attention. November should see another chapter release if all goes well.
