And absolutely nothing changed.
All and all, that episode was delicious! I really loved the first half of season 5, and can't wait for the next half!
And absolutely nothing changed.
All and all, that episode was delicious! I really loved the first half of season 5, and can't wait for the next half!
Just a short update:
Loyal Knight is now finished. So if you've been wondering what's going on with Sunset, Shining Armor and Celestia after Midnight's Radiance, feel free to check it out.
I'm thinking of putting out a chapter of Magic and Confetti before returning to Teal Changeling, so just a little heads up for Chryssie fans, the wait isn't quite over yet.
Going back over all the chapters of the story to work out some issues that have grown over my own carelessness.
Gonna rub out any plot holes or contradictions. Look over dialogue. Add a scene or two (maybe). And apply any formatting changes I've picked up over the months of working on this little tale.
When I'm finished, I'll post another blog about the changes made, including pointing out the blunders.
It. Is. FINISHED!
And will be going live Friday(6/10) afternoon.
If you want to check it out early, well here's the link! Password is Luna
Next chapter should be up and running on Friday(29th). It's shorter than the average.
Now, to real reason for this post:
The next chapter takes place before chapter 18, and after considering it for a good bit, I've decided to make it chapter 18, instead of 19. I'll be bumping Firstborn's Dream to chapter 19. Just letting you know ahead of time to avoid any confusion.
So, when the chapter goes live, the sequence will look like this:
17. Thundercloud
I've already got my hands full with my magical trio AU, so this is me just talking out loud.
In before magical quartet.
Starlight Glimmer! I really liked how competent she was!! And how she rolled her eyes at Twilight's friendship speech! Had I waited a month or three, I'd have four unicorns as Luna's students instead of three. Whelp, guess that's an idea for somepony else to run with!
Falling behind on updates, signifying my failing battle against set scheduling.
Working on next chapter of Magic and Confetti tonight. Introducing an important character, and can't settle on how to do it.
Next chapter of Chrysie's story should be good for Friday.
Scrapped my original set-up for the next chapter of FCC. Settled for something more fun. Whether or not it'll be done by Sunday is up in the air.
Changelings
A race of love consuming shape-shifters that work to hide themselves from the other races of Equestria. Insect-like both physically and socially.
Types:
There are three distinct kinds of Changelings, easily distinguishable when in their original forms.
Lamias
An intelligent carnivorous race of pony/snake hybrids that are also sometimes referred to as Nagas. They have the upper torso of a pony, and lower torso of a snake.
Types:
Queen Amber, The Secret War, The Feeder's Well, The Hidden Alliance, and The Teal Changeling.
Over five-hundred years ago, In a time when Equestria was being plagued with missing settlements, Princess Luna encountered a particular creature looking for aid. A changeling princess.
This is that changeling's story.
What's this? An update!? Dear Luna save us from this writer's madness!
So I've got a few words for a number of the Trioverse stories, so here they are in no particular order:
The cover for Luna's Protege was updated! Stop. The. Presses!
Minor spoilers of the latest episode below:
Besides OC parings, the only official ship in the Trioverse is Shimmer Armor.
And yet, I find myself now resisting to add this ship in!
In light of Starlight Shimmer's recent and completely official inclusion into the mane cast, I feel it's necessary to make some changes to The Trioverse. And though these changes may seem a bit sudden, I assure you, they've been foreshadowed for months. So without further ado, I present a list of changes that'll go live over the next few weeks:
Bat Ponies/Thestrals
Sometimes referred to as ponies of the night, Thestrals are winged/batlike ponies that reside under Equestria. While being very sociable with their fellow ponies, their sensitive eyes and ears have a tendency to make life above ground unpleasant.
Wall of text about how I've tried to improve as a writer below:
I don't think I'm a good writer. I have a lot of failed English writing courses to thank for that. Because of this, when I started writing, I was constantly being driven to improve. I wanted my stories to be enjoyed by as many people as the writing deserved. I wanted to be a good writer.
As such, nearly everything I've written has had an underlining design to helping me improve.
The following wall of text is an informal explanation of how I go about writing my chapters. You know, for the two or three of you who are curious about such things. I like to be transparent with who I am, and how I do things. I know it's nothing special, but here's how I typically go about writing a new chapter.
Gemstone Ponies
I set of pony races heavily in tune and influenced by magic. Before the founding of Equestria, these ponies called the most powerful nation in the world their home. The Crystal Empire.
Types:
Massive spoilers ahead. Make sure to check out the season finale before checking this post out!
So yeah, since this finale had a few things relative to the Trioverse, so I figured I'd share my thoughts with you.
Let's start with the big important thing that cannot be undone or everypony loses: The Sonic Rainboom.
There was no rainboom in the 'verse.
Guess that means one of those alternate timelines we were priveed to is making its way into the 'verse!
Did the fight in chapter 6 cross the line? I feel I really skewed reader expectation with that fight, in a negative way...
If I am changing it to teen, the way it's present isn't going to change moving forward, or retroactively. No blood, swears, or porking.
With the first act coming to an end soon, I'm going to update the story's blurb to better express what the story's about, and I was wondering if I should tweak the tags while I was at it, thus the blog.
Qilin/Kirin
A very cultured race of half-pony dragon hybrids that reside on the continent far to the west of Equestria. Being half-pony, they have simpler cutiemarks, and also maintain their lands, while inheriting a bit of love of gold and treasure from their dragon roots.
