So, it's been asked again if I'm doing a print edition of Three Nights in Manehattan, a sequel to Through the Well of Pirene, and my answer has always been: "Well, I'd like to, but I need a cover."
Well, someone shot me $35 to get it rolling, so I guess I have no further excuse.
Luna Farrowe went and recorded a version of Lyra's song from Through the Well of Pirene.
Illya Leoniv is uploading the audiobook to Youtube if you prefer to listen to it there. Currently up to Chapter 5 as of this writing. The old version still exists, but this one's been improved, with better audio quality and some more polished lines, plus Illya Leoniv lends his talents to the Morgwyn and Nessus. Here's the link:
Well, that was an exciting couple days.
I got to eat dinner in a thunderstorm and it was awesome <3
Not many people showed up to my little Sofa and Quills impromptu thing, but to those I met, thank you. I look forward to meeting more fans. Corejo, we'll need to arrange to get that book signed!
I even managed to sneak my way onto another panel, so I got to have a bit of fun there.
So, even though I will be arriving past the point that my panel is taking place (because that's how life is), I would like everyone who was going to go to it to still go. GaPJaxie has agreed to give the speech I planned to give, and I would feel better if you all had a chance to hear it.
I will be taking lunch at the Sofa and Quills at noon on Saturday, and you can come discuss the book with me and get your hardcopies signed if you have them.
Thank you, and I love you.
I had car trouble on the way to the airport and missed my flight. I have another but it won't arrive until Saturday morning.
Pretty fucking broken up now.
Hope to see you at BronyCon!
I should be easy to spot. I have a big head with fluffy brown hair, and I'll probably be wearing a russet dress for day one.
Head pets are forbidden.
The audiobook has been revamped and revised with new fresh recordings in better audio conditions and equipment and is going up as we speak. It's also going on Youtube, but for now, here's a Bandcamp link:
Hey all! My panel at Bronycon will be Fresh Start: Coming of Age Stories at 11pm, Friday Aug 11.
Be there, or Amelia will kill you.
Though I signed all of the original copies, the new print-on-demand copies obviously don't have my signature on them. So, if you want them signed, you'll need to find me!
If you already have a signed copy, you could... I dunno, get them double signed, if you're into that.
As promised, the hardcover copy of Through the Well of Pirene is now available for print on demand!
It's been through a fresh round of editing which earned up enough space to include the bonus chapter yaaay.
The text has been reformatted, and we've also added quotes from (horse) famous authors on the back and some text on the flaps.
So after a long, long period of heel dragging, the audiobook is going to be completed soon. No promises - my influence on it is mostly limited to that of living cattle prod - but the reading itself is almost done and I have a blood oath promise to have the editing done in a month.
Amelia Ocean should be a comfort to us all
Review and Interview posted here.
Got a big announcement coming this weekend.
Don't forget to take a look at Three Nights in Manehattan and Pirene's Well if you haven't already.
The reader for the audiobook has performed a variant of Lyra's song from Through the Well of Pirene.
In a couple weeks I'm going to have some really big news that should be fairly exciting.
For now, here's a little something to whet your appetites:
