Hello everyone/everypony (whichever you prefer)! Just wanted to let you all know that chapter five of my ongoing story, Human in Equestria: Jack is Back, is officially out. Now, it took me many weeks to complete this one so I have to ask you one thing of it: please point out all grammatical/spelling errors in the chapter as you find them. I like to think I'm good at editing (keywords: like to), but even so I still make mistakes. For all I know there may be hundreds of little accidents in
Okay guys, before reading any of this, I would like to point out that I'm of Catholic raising, which kinda sorta makes me Catholic myself (no practicing, but I agree with the doctrine), but also a follower of objectivism (yes, the Ayn Rand one) and raised in a country known for producing deadpan snarkers like it's nobody's business (mi Chile lindo). With that in mind, my response over the next "article" is way more emotional than rational and in some ways not taking itself too seriously,
I'm in a weird mood tonight. Heck, it has to be one - I have done three blogs here ever, before, and all of them have been brief blurbs about stories or Bronycon or something. Tonight that ends, in that I am going to wax somewhat philosophical.
Plenty has been written on the nature of a cutie mark and its relationship with talent and one's calling in life. But sometimes, you can't help but think, "My word, what a useless talent!" Or worse, "Why, what could your talent even be?"
No, really, they don't. And I'll explain why.
One of the central themes of the early seasons was stewardship. Ponies need nature. Nature needs them. And ponies need each other. In order to successfully maintain the basic needs of the ecosystem and of the community, everypony has to labor together harmoniously.
Trigger warning: Extreme nerdiness
In case you're wondering why I'm posting this again, it's because this was due to bad timing on my part. I guess the reason why hardly anybody commented or gave me suggestions of something that I was serious about might have been the fact that it was posted on April 1st. April Fools day. So to get around this, I'm going to try posting this a second time to see if anyone could give me some good ideas for this continuation.
Dear Bronies and Pegasisters,
Dear Bronies and Pegasisters,
Since I'm drawing "The Philosophical Substitute: Discord" to a close, I figured that the best way to end this story is to do a trial. However, I am writing this to let you know that since I've started to work on this since Monday, I'm almost 3,000 words, I can see right away that this is going to be big enough that I have to split it in two.
Well, this is my first blog, a little weird actually do not know how many will read this, but if possible I like to open discussions. So it's worth it, it's fact that Sunset shimer simply changed from water to wine after being hit with the power of the elements, just as nightmare was purified, I've read many explanations for this and many theories of what happens in the perceptive of who gets hit , but I personally like those who approach it as a curse of some kind, sometimes it's like looking
Hello everyone, Wave "The Sound" Blaster here with a new article to pass time while I'm not able yet to write the fics due to me still being tied up to university. This time, however, instead of one of my usual reviews wit Pinkie and Trixie, or one of my social problematic ramblings or an editorial, I want to give you guys something somewhat useful, as also share a recent experience in life that taught me one or two things about life itself and the kind of society that is the western culture.
A few weeks ago, a friend of mine took a meme quiz. I don’t remember what exactly the theme was, but her results where that she was an “outsider” personality - a black sheep. This prompted an interesting discussion (which I will make relevant to MLP shortly).
Yes! It is I! Ruby the Great and Soon-To-Be-Well-Read, and also Not Dead. It's been far too long since we've last spoken, but it's also been far too busy and stressful lately to be able to tack anything down here, as I'd have next to nothing to report. But for now, I do have something to report: A completed book, and a soon to be completed book. That is, Rosseau's The Social Contract (complete) and Martin Van Creveld's A History of Strategy: From Sun Tzu to William S. Lind

Dear Bronies and Pegasisters,
Yes, you've read that right! Starting today, I'm beginning to piece together a new book for the Discord Teaches Philosophy series. I'm starting to layout new lessons in a field of subject that recently I felt should be addressed. Something that has been a hot topic in the fandom but rarely examined through the eyes of philosophy/psychology. And what is this new subject that I'm going to tackle with our favorite Draconiquus?
Love.
With this story I'll be dipping my fingers into Poetry, Philosophy, Surrealism & Symbolism.
