Just something I wanted to post because I got bored
Just something I wanted to post because I got bored
For anyone interested, I felt I should point out the Sci-fi Classics Humble Bundle currently running (for what looks like two weeks).
As usual for the humble bundles, you get some of the books no matter how much ytou pay, same if you pay more then average, and in this case, some if you pay 15$ or more. Here's a list of what's in there:
Base:
Damnation Alley - Roger Zelazny
So, heads up! Since I'm insanely busy at the mo', I'm thinking of looking for a little of contribution from you guys, for one of my existing stories, namely Worlds.
Today's story drives its characters to extremes.
Sleep While I Drive
[Dark] [Adventure] [Sad] [Sci-Fi] • 12,791 words
You might want to keep a whiteboard handy for today’s story.
Autumnfall Change
[Sci-Fi][Slice of Life][Human] • 8,419 words
Magic and technology may have pierced the void and blazed a path between the realms, but that was the simple part. Adjusting to the changes that follow can be far more daunting.
So recently because I'm a totally normal person with a totally refined sense of taste when it comes to fiction, I got on a binge of going through some of those good old 1950s (and some from the 60s) sci-fi movies, rewatching ones I hadn't seen in ages and getting around to watching ones I'd never seen before, either at all or only parts of, and I thought for the heck of it I'd share some little "mini-reviews" I've written up of some of the ones I've seen...also because it's been ages since I
So! In the wake of the No Man's Sky fiasco, namely it not being half the game it was promised to be, I find myself with 60 bucks in my steam wallet needing somewhere to go. And I figure some of you might be in the same situation. SO, in the spirit of that, I give you:
STUFF I BOUGHT WITH MY NO MAN'S SKY REFUND
Today's episode: Duskers!
That's right. Chapter 23 will be the last one for Bound By Stars. It has been a long journey, and I feel that I have learned new techniques and styles in the progress. I'm really proud of what I've accomplished, but I couldn't have done it without all you readers, who are interested in my story, and have shared feedback and corrections. I don't have an editor, nor a proofreader. I do it all on my own, but knowing that there are people who want to help cheers me up everytime I see one of your
It doesn't really need help. I just thought it sounded cool. By the way, thinking about Olympus, I have made it into a group for both Elite: Dangerous and Star Citizen! Both of these pages still need work, but I'll get it fixed eventually. You are free to join either/both of these if you have the game, so YOU can be a part of this great organization!
Finally announcing the other major secret project I've been working on as of late:
Galloping Stars is a pony-inspired tabletop RPG set in an original sci-fi universe, developed by Changeling Games. If you like Star Trek, Star Wars, or any other science fiction, and if you like ponies, you'll love Galloping Stars! If you like DnD or other RPGs as well as ponies, you'll also love Galloping Stars!
So to those that don't know, a friend of mine allowed me to use his alias after his end of writing in general, that, and I helped him out in the past, so I guess that's a thing. Besides from that, one of his more....less dysfunctional stories, Warframe: Relic Hunters, had finally gotten an ending, which was awesome, but someone commented on it saying if there would be a sequel.
First of the two back-to-back Project Sparkle chapters is done. Working on the second.
Spike At Your Service's next chapter almost done, with the slight rework of the previous chapter to settle tone and theming still going ahead.
Welcome To The 'Verse's rewrite still getting there.
That lewd F:OE story to do with Murky is a little on the back burner, but it'll get there.
SOON™
So, let's clarify something.
Three Steps Back isn't cancelled.
I know I removed it from the Sci Fi contest, that is despite initially stating it would be my entry. That's my bad. It pretty much comes down to this though, it was getting too damn long.
There are some stories that have the plot point that Celestia and Luna do not actually have the control over their respective heavenly bodies that everypony believes they do — that they are merely pretending to raise and lower them, while natural causes are really responsible. Sometimes this is done in an attempt to make Equestria more realistic and believable, with the nasty character implications of such prolonged and enormous deception merely coming along for the ride. Sometimes it's the
So what is Muffins at the End of the Universe? It is a series, which came about because of a number of ideas converging, as is often the case. First of all I wanted to write a comedy involving Twilight Sparkle in which the princess of friendship is taken away from her friends, and cut off and isolated somewhere where her status as a princess means nothing. I was just curious to see how she would react (and I guess I'm kind of evil that way).
Featuring references to Star Trek, Greek tragedies, and the Moody Blues! And yes, it has robots in it. (No, not that one.) I'm really proud of this one, folks, so I hope you read it and let me know if you enjoy it. Love ya lots, folks!
These are a bit different than the previous Hidden Worlds image. These are rough, sketchy, energetic, and less refined. They were done on very small pieces of paper (specifically, in my small sketchbook that I usually carry with me), and were colored quickly in photoshop. So, these are more like sketches than fully hammered out illustrations.
They're meant to evoke the roughness and limitations seen in the style of old adventure games and dungeon crawlers.
Hello, readers!
