Our robot was slammed so hard that the entire top half came off.
We ended up in 8th place out of ~15 teams.

Mine is the random meme wars that engage between me and my friends.
1: speedrun Minecraft on a Pentium 3 (System: Commate P2BXA)
2: speedrun Minecraft on a Pentium 2 (System: Micron Millennia XKU)
because one painful Minecraft speedrun wasn't enough.
i'm pretty much just waiting on a 40gb hard drive to arrive that I ordered so I don't have to put myself in even more pain by running it all off of an 8gb SD card.
*looks at my digital handwritten notes for class*
haha, I'm in danger.
until next Wednesday when the replacement pen arrives, that is. :P
this one lasted a good 3 years considering how it was only $30.
was planning on continuing to work on Zoey tonight but that clearly won't be happening now.
ISA, or "Industry Standard Architecture" was the most common PC expansion bus of the early to late 90s, before being superceded by PCI, EISA, and VESA Local Bus, or VLB. Of those three, only PCI managed to ever gain a strategic foothold in the market.
Don't you love it when your phone overheats while playing Angry Birds to the point of which it's actually reasonable to stick an old PC heatsink on it? I mean, it's a Pentium-era cooler that'd likely fail to cool even a laptop at this point, but it's small enough that I can just stick it on my phone whenever the thing heats up. So yeah.
Seriously. At first I stopped uploading because my horrid internet made it near impossible to upload videos, but now that I think of it, I don't really enjoy recording gameplay videos at all. It's just one of those things that adds a responsibility that I take little to no enjoyment or return in.
'Cause I've got a robotics end-of-year banquet to put together a highlights reel for. Stabilizing a shaky phone-recorded video isn't fun in any way.
Yes, I've had that laptop since third grade back when Windows 7 was the newest thing around, and yes I still use the same laptop, albeit with an upgraded CPU and an extra gig of RAM.
AND HOLY-GEEZ, DO THE MEMORIES COME FLOODING BACK.
On top of having a built in functional radio, I somehow managed to forget just how amazing the audio quality on my old phone is when coupled with a decent pair of headphones.
Can you say AUTO BASS BOOSTED SURROUND SOUND?!
don't mind me while I proceed to kill it's aging battery with my playlists.
We just did our last qualifying match. Not the last one of the competition, but the latest one for our team.
Short to say, we're top ten again!
TEAM 4598!
Installed every update. I got on to the final update that was supposedly marked as "Important", which was Windows RT 8.1 Update 3. Turns out it's actually an optional update that the Surface RT somehow mixed in with everything else, aaaaaand... the whole thing bricked again.
Another reset later, and now I'm going through installing updates for the third time now, and this time, I'm gonna pay special attention to what's installing and what isn't.
That's the second time today that my phone crashed from overheating just from Angry Birds. I'm pretty sure that next time I buy a phone, it's not gonna be used, even if it's sub-$100.
Hopefully, I can earn a bit of money this summer once school ends. Then I can maybe move on from the used Galaxy S5 that I've been using since last year.
Found a working port of Dosbox to install on my jailbroken Surface RT.
I'ma have some fun now.
just need to figure out how to record it, 'cause OBS lags too much on the computer to record my silky-smooth 12fps Minecraft footage.
My first and oldest PC certainly seems to be doing just that. The faceplate is slowly turning yellower, but as opposed to the rest of the system, the CD drive's faceplate is still the same creamy white color as the steel casing's paint.
I need some Retrobrite.
Windows XP
Windows Ecks P
...Windows Ecks Pee :)
Won the auction!
Now I just gotta hope the board doesn't arrive DoA like last time... It's tested working according to the 100% positive feedback Ebay seller, so I'm trusting them on this.
