This morning it was the 13th most popular fic on FimFiction... going by a ratio of up-votes to down-votes.

I'll repeat that: #13 on the list of most popular fics.

The thing is, it was also the only one in the top fifty or so with a three-digit up-vote count. It was that high because only three people had ever down-voted it.

I've been kicking this around for the past year in my head, and six weeks ago I began taking notes for it. If I do this I'd do it as a post-per-day challenge and see how long I could keep that up. Today I flew the second mission for the next chapter of CSP. All I have left to write is the outcome of that flight and the epilogue, and another 25,000-ish word chapter will be complete, or at least ready for final edits.

OK, so you may have noticed that in Chapter 10, the most recently released brick o' text, George Cowley proposed a Mission Twelve which could test a powered landing on Equus, on the premise that the skill was absolutely necessary for the future moon landing. The proposal was killed with extreme vehemence by Cherry Berry and Chrysalis because it was too dangerous, even on paper, to consider.

Writing begins at the top of the hour (7 PM Central) and goes until I get too cold to write or until I complete the chapter. I'm not -too- far from done.

There will be more live-writing the rest of this week, involving non-pony projects, although if people come by on Friday and ask for pony stuff they might get it..
