Being a Better Writer: The Post Labor Day Grab Bag · 5:12pm Sep 13th, 2021
Welcome back readers! To both of us, actually! I am back at my desk again this Monday, returned from Alaska (which you might have noticed if you saw this post).
Welcome back readers! To both of us, actually! I am back at my desk again this Monday, returned from Alaska (which you might have noticed if you saw this post).
Hello readers! Welcome to another Monday installment of Being a Better Writer! I hope you all had a pretty good weekend, and that you’re ready for the week ahead.
Welcome back writers! It’s another Monday, and you know what that means. It’s time for more Being a Better Writer!
Looks like June slots are GONE (pending payment from a client for the final slot of June) and I have July slots available now to purchase! So, fancy a steamy or sweet or adventurous story commission? A mare has most certainly got you covered!
As almost all the community panels I attended were from people on FIMFiction, I trust they will post some of their notes or thoughts on those panels. If not, then I’ll have to steal all their ideas and seem super smart.
And I have some thoughts myself that I’m going to write up as proper articles about some stuff regardless.
I am doing better now. I wrote more for "Dreamwalker Dash" and it went more smooth than last week. I'll keep that up and if nothing new is affecting me, my writing schedule should be back to normal this week. I'll let you know if anything changes.
Stay easy as a filly!

This may sound like A daunting task, - which it is.
I have been planning for A long time to create A story/anthology in which Anon forms A herd with every female on the entire Equestrian continent. This means every female character, - [Main, Majour, Supporting, Minour, Background, Referenced, [Protagonist, Antagonist, Neutral, Good-Hearted Villain, Anti-Hero]] to ever appear in the show, in Equestria Girls, or any related media, such as the picture books or I.D.W. comics.
On Saturday, November 19, 2016, at around 2:00PM Pacific, I cracked the 50K barrier for this year’s surge of writing on Wavelength Theorems.
You read that right, folks. You’re reading the blog of an author who’s won National Novel Writing Month eight years running.
Incoming Scootaloo for you all!
Here is finally a little blog entry to show that I'm still alive, now that I can say something hopeful about my situation. After a few stressful things that happened lately, among them one major writing fail, I feel some spirit for writing returning since a few days now.
Today’s post is going to be more about editing. Sort of. But I’m getting ahead of myself.
So first, welcome back readers! I hope you all had a good weekend! Especially with Episode 12 of Fireteam Freelance having dropped on Saturday. Was that a ride or what?
Iron Author 2022
Iron Author 2021 was closed last year but it’s time to spring forth with a new round in my favourite month of the year! Winter is drawing to a close here and it is time for spring to appear (I promise not to start singing MLP songs, though Winter Wrap Up is particularly apt), so let’s get cracking with a good list of discounted mini story slots!
Hey folks! It's been a while since I last did this and a certain Winter-inspired tale got finished not too long ago, so now is a good time that I give you all an update on what's going on with the Friendship is Worth It series!
"When Life Gives You Snow..." Post-Mortem
Welcome back writers! As work continues getting Axtara – Magic and Mischief (I still miss Mayhem, but we’ll be getting a BaBW post on that next week) that hasn’t stopped Being a Better Writer from delivering!
There are many writers here on my following list whose works I've read that I feel deserve more praise and follows. Today I'm starting some writer spotlights with a fimfic writer whose work is absolutely phenomenal.
BlueColton is an amazing writer who has many different types of fics. I've chosen to focus on the dark and horror ones.

I mean technically it is writing, but not with a new story update. I've been practicing through the method of RPing with some new friends I've made recently in the Equestrian Writers Guild. It started out as an adventure RP but slowly but surely we've gained new characters that our established ones have gotten pretty intimate with. We're thinking of converting the whole thing to the format of a story so we can
I finally got around to watching Wreck-It Ralph, and let me just say, I am so glad I chose to see it after IYGALL finished, 'cause boy, does "IYGALL video game AU" sound weird as heck. As much as I enjoyed the movie...after that twist, I can't stop thinking about how similar the two are. (If anyone else has noticed the similarity, rest assured, it surprised me as much as it did you.)
In any case, what this means is I know the first thing I'm gonna draw 2018~
