WHERE ARE MY KEYS!? WHERE ARE THEY, DAMN IT!?! · 7:45pm Sep 16th, 2015
Oh wait, never mind. I just found them.
Anyway, this.
Oh wait, never mind. I just found them.
Anyway, this.
It is. It really, really is.
I mean, you don't really think about it, do you? We spend so long clicking in and out of stuff where we can see that people have thousands, millions of followers and subscribers, and suddenly a million becomes the new benchmark of excellence. Some channels, you won't even look at them if they've got under a thousand subscribers. Because it all just becomes a number.
As I just blabbed to my DeviantArt followers, The Prince’s New Sweater is up to a whopping 5,896 words and 7 ½ hours worth of work. I have only two more chapters to go until it’s done and hope to tie them up tomorrow with your encouragement and help as you cheer me on from the chatroom.
Only one more year until I officially hit Over The Hill, and it's no longer socially acceptable to celebrate birthdays as an affirmation of my advancement rather than a marker of my slow decline. So: Hurrah! I'm not old yet! [1] I've got another full year to make an original fiction sale before I stop being A Potential Up-And-Coming Author and start being That Old Guy Who's Still Trying To Break Into The Market! OH GODS PANIC
It is almost Christmas, and that means that it is time for me to get off my butt and get people stuff to read for the holidays. I have been remiss in getting review sets posted; hopefully the rapidly approaching end of the year will encourage me to get more done.
This is a rather eclectic set of stories in some ways, but in another way, all but one of them manages to capture a lovely little sentiment. I wonder if you can guess which one that is from the titles?
Centralia’s a good place to bathe, get some food, and then head west. The Pacific’s not that far anymore; it’s even within a few day’s flying distance if Sweetsong can’t find a train.
I've been a bit under the weather since Trotcon, but feeling better now.
This weekend I need to work on putting together some poni stuff for my niece (she's up here for her birthday), and my inability to do basic things makes that a bit difficult. So I may be delayed a few days on the Trotcon retro and the other long post I still really really want to share with y'all.
Okay and i might actually write one this time (unlike when I said I'd write about dragon con)
I was thinking about writing a Rarity fic (she and sunset are really the only two characters I can write) about halloween preparations. I think it would be similar to "Suited for Success," where Rarity is under pressure to create clothing for her friends, this time for Halloween. how original, i know
Just dropping a list for those who've wondered what I've been up to in the last couple of weeks:
Last week's shuffle is all done. Enjoy.
This week, as our second ongoing multiparter, we've got one of the most (in)famous tragedies in pony fiction history: "Bittersweet." Prepare to be made unhappy, whether it's the way the story intends or not.
Two days of reviews in a row? When was the last time that happened?

"Elsa, come on!"
Elsa smiled gingerly as she watched her younger sister skip across the snow, though it became more difficult as the snow began to grow deeper. Winter had come earlier than in more recent years, but Elsa never minded it that much. She was just glad to be able to be near her sister.
Another leak it seems, but it's fun to have some additional pony stuffs for the week. Without further ado, delving right into it.
IN WHICH I WORK OUT AND DOUGHNUT
I have no idea what sort of music video to post tonight. So I'll just find something random. Here we go.
I'm a sucker for jazz. Now into the fevered recesses of my mind.

New year, new story. Continuing the Car Wash series, this time it isn't about ponies working on Earth, so much as it is ponies playing on Earth.
Procrastination on writing creates a surprising amount of motivation to review stories.

Do YOU like romance? Do YOU like Luna? Do YOU like an unconventional portrayal of Dr. Whooves and a unique twist on a story you've heard before?
If you answered yes to any of the above, then have I got a cute little fic for you! Fully completed, sitting at a comfortable 8k words, with humor, a love song, and a refreshingly different take on a classic MLP tale, I'd Only Dream Of You is waiting for you!
Hi. How are you. You look great today.
I fucking cried twice since this started - you know, the fascist invasion for territorial conquest of a small, young democracy. Once a few days into it, when the reality sunk in. Once yesterday. You know. Mass graves. Civilians executed with their hands tied and bullets in the brain.
You know. Like the last time the fascists went through Ukraine.
