Next chapter is currently sitting at 2,500 words out of the 4,000 or so that I've set as a goal for chapter size. It's a bit hard going, I know what I want to write, but writing it is another story altogether. We also get some insight into the life of thestrals... and other ponies who followed Luna/Nightmare Moon so long ago. After all, it would be quite difficult for just thestrals alone to thrive in a society away from Equestria.

I'd meant to save up a buffer, but... after over a year without an update, I got somewhat antsy. Seems the update went over well, and I've got some bits of Chapter 4 & 5 written up now. I'd started on Chapter 4, but decided that it was a little overdue to see how the twins are faring. I don't plan on giving them too much screen time before bringing them back together, but I need to establish them so it's not a massive info dump once they rejoin... whenever that may be.

Chapter 3 is now officially complete, all that's left is editing. Debated on whether or not to add another scene to it, but I figure that it's fine on its own. The word counter for the chapter is currently at ~3,100 words prior to editing, so it should still be north of 3,000 after editing is taken care of.

So, now that my period of isolationism from pony is over, I've been going over all of my stories, trying to think up ideas, thoughts, directions, etc, to take them, as well as try to find motivation to start writing again. Dedicating time towards an action that, in itself, is not that much fun is hard to pull off.

So, just for some redundancy, letting you know that I wrote another chapter and just published it for this story. Working on the next one now, part of my new year resolution was more horse words, and so I shall try my best to deliver in a timely fashion. I only managed to write 60,000 last year, which doesn't really amount to much given how many stories I have running right now.
