I realized it's been a couple of weeks since I last posted anything about the actual work of creating fiction, so I just wanted to give everyone who's waiting with baited breath the good news that progress is being made. I've started bringing my laptop in to work again so I can write during my breaks, and that lets me hammer out a paragraph or five at least two times a day.

I've got the itch to write, like, so bad! When I get a chance to sit down to do so, I'm so wiped out that I can barely think of English words let alone actually stringing them together in a sentence. So at some point over the weekend I caught a cold. I wasn't doing anything out of the ordinary that would expose me to germs that I'm not normally exposed to, so I'm thinking that I caught something either my daughter brought home from elementary school or my ex-wife brought home from work...which is an elementary school. Both my ex and I have the same thing, and the only thing keeping me going ATM is an abundance of caffeine and cold medicine.
