Winona is writing her final thank you to the apple family. She has loved them so much over the years, but she could never tell them. Her time has come to an end on the Equestrian world, something had to of been said.

Apple is a funny word, one that Winona doesn't quite understand.

Her family uses it to refer to food, to trees, to themselves and to each other. It's all very inconsistent.

But whether she understands it or not, she'll always be there for the pony she knows as Little Apple.

When Applejack tries bacon at a feast held by wolves, she starts to crave it. What Applejack doesn't know is that bacon is, well, not a plant. But really, let's admit it. Once you've gone bacon, there's no going back.

The glamorous unicorn Opalescence is haunted by bizarre recurring dreams of a world in which she and her friends are all animals. But as vivid as these dreams are, surely they're just dreams, right? There couldn't actually be a parallel universe somewhere where they're little more than pets ... right?

When Applejack's nailed by a falling rowan tree whilst taking part in the Running of the Leaves, she thinks it's bad enough being, well, nailed by a falling rowan tree. But when a raven lands on her windowsill and tells her to go somewhere that sort of doesn't exist in two days or she'll snuff it with a fairly sizeable explosion, and Ditzy Doo gets dragged into the mess, everyone's favourite orange farm pony has to go a-questin'. This can only end well...

After an accident involving some cattle dying, Winona decides that the only honorable thing to do is to commit ritual suicide. Applejack, Twilight, and Fluttershy try their best to stop her, but this dog is on a mission, and nothing is going to stop her. Well, nothing except spontaneous enlightenment and subsequent immortality.

Applejack accidentally stumbles across the fact that Winona is a changeling in disguise. Now, everypony is going crazy trying to figure out if their own pet is a love-sucking bug or not, each in their own...unique way.

AN: My friend told me he didn't think I could write a story using fewer than three thousand words, so I set out to challenge myself. 13 hours of writing later, and this was what happened.
