My entrance in the Dialogue Only Contest.

Technically a prequel to my other fic, The Twilight Prince: Redux, and uses common worldbuilding, but should be readable as a stand alone one-shot.

The Storm King has attacked.
Canterlot has fallen.
The princesses have been captured.
There is no leadership.
There is no plan.
But there are Wonderbolts.
Wonderbolts do not give up.
Wonderbolts do not know the cost of war.
Perhaps it would have been better if Wonderbolts did give up.

About a month ago If you told me that I would be on a crashing plane heading into the ocean I would have thought you were crazy. But here I was in that exact situation just sitting there thinking about what got me into this so let's go over how I got here...

How can a pony move on after they lose everything?

How can they come to terms when faced with the reality that they may no longer be able to return to their old life?

Spitfire finds herself critically injured and hospitalized. How can the captain of the Wonderbolts — a pegasus proud to soar across the wide blue sky — deal with finding herself unquestionably grounded?

During the time Thorax and Ember left ponyville after their argument with Spike, Ponyville is unexpectedly attacked by strange apes that have come for something, they proved to be a strong and deadly foe against the mane 6 which brought fear to everyone, but they weren't here for them, they were here for a certain purple dragon.. Spike. Spike tries to escape the monster's grasps, but he unfortunately is captured by them, and he is taken to a different world before his friends could rescue him, leaving him trapped in a new world.. alone.

Spike wasn't one to give up though, he came up with a way that got himself free from the apes, and he fled for his life to live, it left the apes to start searching for him after he fled, while their master is waiting for the report. During Spike's escape, he runs into a Purple Dragon like him after escaping into a swamp, the dragon's name is Spyro, and with nowhere to go, and Spyro having a kind heart, Spike's taken in by him and joins him and his little brother Sparx with. Spike's life has changed completely, and he and Spyro are about to go on a journey that will change both they're lives forever..

Everyone always asked Tank where he was going.

He never knew how to answer them. How could one say that when time eroded everything else away, there became less and less meaning in a purpose.

All he knew is that the time passed him by, the more he always seemed to be leaving.

That's when Philomena showed up.

Everpony in Snow Castle thinks Blackberry is part-troll because he is so naughty, and so Clever Clover sends him away, forever. After talking with his naughty friend, Jealous Jasmine, and his good friend, Light Heart, he finds out what he is made of.

The setting is G2, but the fic is heavily FiM-inspired. The G2 setting in the comics is whimsical and silly - think a rainbow having a sleepover with a unicorn.

Short & Sweet at 2K words.

While written as a children's story, it is readable for all ages. There is some candy horror/drama if you read between the lines. There is also a little humour, but I ran out of genre tags.

Written in simple English and in first person.
