Just a passing thought · 10:40am Feb 26th, 2023
Steam tells me I've now spent just over 200 hours playing "F1 22." I have smaller but still three-digit numbers on "Cities Skylines," "Tropico 6," and "Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion."
A younger me would have been disgusted at myself, and probably forced myself to uninstall Steam for a hiatus.
This now-older me realizes that stress is unhealthy and detrimentally affects the rest of your life, and a low-thought, high-reflex hand/foot/eye coordination video game like "F1 22" is a great way to unwind after a long day — or week — of being a responsible adult.
I'm going to go sling an RB18 around Spa-Francorchamps until it's time for our weekly family Sunday morning tennis at the racquet club.
So...the wisdom of maturity plays videogames...wisely.
Funny, I've got over 200 hours in F1 22 too! I usually play that or Assetto Corsa when I have the need to race or just want to not play "generic multiplayer shooter 5000" for the millionth time. My favorite track in F1 is absolutely Spa. Though I may or may not be guilty of sending my car two wide in Eau Rouge and causing serious wrecks

My nemesis is The Bruxelles, not Eau Rouge. My favorite is either Spa or Baku, depending on my mood that day.

Yeah that and Pouhon can be a handful I've found. But that castle section in Baku is tricky to do fast! And whenever I pass through the castle I always hear Charles' radio message "I am stupid."

F in chat for Carlos.
And for Charles's Baku engine last year.
I can thoroughly recommend relaxing by disassembling a spaceship in Hardspace: Shipbreaker for an hour after work, optionally while listening to a good podcast.

Heck. That does look good!
