Like all fans of...well any media, I'm a shipper. I also like minor characters and crack ships, this gives me a lot of options. One minor character I rather like is Micro Chips, the guy's a cliche nerd straight from a 1980s high school movie and built a death bot, what's not to like? Despite him being a minor character he's had just enough scenes to get a vague outline of his character, especially some interesting characterisation. Take his ending in "All the worlds off stage", where he commits an insane Batman gambit just to sneakily coerce Bulk into some manual labour.
The guy has character is what I'm saying.
Now, when it comes to shipping him it's a bit all over the place. There's Sci-Twi, which is a kind of R63 thing. Aria, I think is based on her being agressive and him passive, while a few Junipers seem to just be "put the spares together." I on the other hand, noticed his increasingly friendly behaviour with Sandalwood and ran with it. Pure chalk and cheese.
Now, Micro isn't presented in the best light here. He's a bit of an ass frankly and you're not wrong. It was entirely intentional though, people come in a lot of flavours and Micro’s is "arrogant, too-smart-for-his-own-good, dweeb." Which, in fairness I've met a lot of, hell I was probably a bit like that as a teen. In between the mental health annihilation that is. At his core though, he's a good guy. He's just wrapped up in too much bullshit and self loathing/guilt over his sexuality.
Trixie? She's fun AND a nightmare to write. Fun in the options you have, a nightmare in her speech patterns.
This was an idea I had for a while though, and was really happy for Eileens Spring Fling to get it on paper.
