    Screw Poll; do both!

Screw the poll; I'm just going to do both. Reason? Simple really: I have a lot of built up creativity that needs to go some where. Plus, right now, my mind's got plenty of ideas for the Hamtaro fic.

Regardless, expect a more proper update blog soon-ish.

    Tiebreker Poll

The results from the poll are in, and there was a tie between the Hamtaro Crossover fic, and the reversed roles universe fic. So, as a result, a tiebreaker poll is now being run. You can find the poll here: https://strawpoll.com/GPgVY2X5Bna

Cool-down Poll Update - Hamtaro in lead

As I'm winding down for the day, I decided to check the poll again (link here) and found the Hamtaro x MLP:FiM crossover in the lead. I know that I made three polls talking about this today, so tomorrow, I will only be checking the poll once tomorrow (which is your last day to even vote in the poll btw) which will be around mid-day. And if you are

Not going to sugar coat this... (Improtant Blog Post) · 7:15pm May 20th

I'm not going to sugar coat this, but the recent actions from Nintendo involving Gary's Mod and the Walmart & Amazon physical pre-orders of the Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door Switch Remake getting the axe, it's made it harder to continue writing the season six finale movie for My Little Pony: When Friendship Shimmers - Reboot. It's already been a difficult thing for me to write said season six finale as it is for what I've got planned.

I shouldn't really be saying this as this is technically a spoiler, but fact of the matter is, I've been hinting at it both in the story itself, and hinting at it with blog posts about it as well. Because what's making writing the season six finale so hard for me, is because I do plan for Throsten to perform a self-sacrifice at the end which will ultimately kill him. The main reason why this has made the season six finale so hard, is that despite retconning The Legend to remove all Pokemon based elements from the overall lore, I still have some attachment to that old lore.

And a huge reason why I still have attachment to the old lore in such a way, is because of Throsten, who I've written in such a way, he's actually been through things that would make even grown men run scared. Because of the fact that in the scrapped arc, it was a retelling of PMD Explorers of Sky and Throsten was the partner for that retelling. And because Throsten is an Umbreon, that means that he would be an Eevee to start with, which I know having a male eevee partner is impossible since the Eevee Partner in PMDEoS is always female, I made the call to have Throsten be male.

And considering everything that happens in that game is already a huge courage check, then there's the fact that Throsten is a duo-protagonist for what used to be arc 8 as he essentially goes up against all kinds of machinery built into the UNA Cargo Ship that looks super mega scary. And then at the end, just before the arc's finale, he has to go up against a giant artificial Groudon known as Experiment GR0U-D0N. And that's not mentioning his big moment against The Dark Core where his realization that he's already encountered and survived things that made his fears of his past; what he considers his greatest fears before he realizes he's faced worse since leaving home; seem like nothing in comparision. And when he makes this revolution that he's already been through things much worse than being afraid of the dark or the fear of not being the child the royals of Starview Fields wanted for that matter.

It's when he realizes that, he's survived worse fears then the things he was initially afraid of. And when he realizes that he's already suvived and gotten through situations he never thought he would've before, that's when he manages to push past his initial fears, thinking that if he's already been through hell and is still stand, then what really was there ever to be afraid of? It's at that point, when he realizes that he no longer has to be afraid of anything anymore, that he psychologically becomes unable to feel fear. Hell, for the next several arcs until the time skip, Throsten is a supporting character who practically jumps at every oppertunity to go see more adventure, more stuff, more things. In his mind, he's already been through some of the worst things he could've ever imagined, so what really left is there for him to be afraid of?

It almost seems like Throsten becomes a different character at that point, and that's kind of the joke & the point of it all: A timid eevee who was afraid of the dark ends up facing some of the scariest things imaginable after running away from home, that they manage to psyche themselves up so much, they end up being psychologically unable to feel fear, becoming a different person in the process. That's why I've had several jokes in My Little Pony: When Friendship Shimmers - Reboot about this, because the point of Throsten having undergone this process, is treated like a joke, because the kingdom's residents would see the new Throsten as such a different person, that they barely even recognize them. And that's the point of the joke: To make it clear that Throsten was not the same after he became psychologically unable to feel fear.

And killing off a character that I've put in this much effort, this much work, and this much thought into, is what's making the season six finale for My Little Pony: When Friendship Shimmers - Reboot so hard to write. Because I put in a lot of effort, work, and thought into Throsten that it's really hard to just let go. But Nintendo's recent actions as stated earlier have only made wanting to do something like what I've got planned that much harder.

So...I really want to know what you guys think: Do you think I should try to power through this, and see if I can finish the season six finale anyways; or would you rather I just reboot the story a second time NOW, but rather than delete the current reboot, I post what I've got of the season six finale, and while I put the project in the realm of canceled projects, I keep this original reboot up for prosperity's sake so Throsten can live on in some fashion?

whatever you think is best but I just hate the idea of losing this story a second time !!!!!!!

I really hate the idea that you have to lose this story again, I do not like it when someone who's worked so hard on a project like this, have all they're work be taken away for something like this, I don't think you should give up on this story, but i don't think i should say what would be best, it's all up to you, but if you want my opinion, I don't want you to give up on all this work, you've spent so much time on this and I don't want you to give up on this, but whatever option you think is the best, it's your choice, and I hope you can push through this.
