Journal Entry - Volume 3 - Chapter 19 · 9:21pm Jun 10th, 2019
Dear Journal,
My squad, Derpy, Dinky, Ember, Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle went to see my new Command Center today! But we're not going to call it that. Sweetie Bell came up with "Light's Hope" last night at supper! Twilight and her friends met us there. Can't say I blame them for being curious, as even from the outside, this base looks like quite the structure!
Hard Hat gave us all a tour. I gotta say, he did a really good job making this a fully functional military base without making in feel like a military base! Truth be told, when I said that's what I wanted, I didn't actually know how he was supposed to do that!
Much to my surprise, this wasn't the highlight of my day! That came after the tour and during out meeting. We were comparing notes and trying to talk out the whole deal with Dinky, Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle having some kind of strange power! We had just acknowledged that we had hit a wall in the investigation when all of a sudden... it happened! The lights dimmed and time seemed to slow to a crawl! It was really creepy! Twilight told me the same had happened when I was in Tartarus! Not reassuring!
Some strange... um... thing appeared and spoke to us! No idea what is was, but it definitely wasn't a human OR a pony! It told us a bit about the power in the fillies and how they'll kinda grow into their power. Not liking where this is going either! It... Kronos... told us that Dinky really should have been born years earlier! Again... not sure what the heck that's supposed to mean, but... it asked Derpy to give him Dinky to restore balance. While I left the decision up to her, I... I really wanted to just punch Kronos in the face and run out of there with Derpy and Dinky! But I didn't. Instead Derpy gave Dinky to... it, and asked that balance be restored! In a flash of light, Dinky was gone! Kronos beckoned me to come forward and "retrieve what was lost". When I did so, I found Dinky! But... she was much older and bigger! Roughly the size of Apple Bloom really! I took her in my arms and escorted her and Derpy to my quarters.
This creature, this... Kronos. I don't like them, nor do I trust them! When it was before me, I could feel immense power emanating from it! Something tells me Kronos could probably do almost anything with its power! And that... that frightens me!
The correct path to take is not always clearly marked. Sometimes you just need to feel through a situation the best you can.
