Anon, after a seminar out in Manehattan, is due back home at eight. When he's over an hour late, Twilight starts to overthink things - right up until she hears snow boots crunching outside her front door.

When anon woke up he didn't expect an adorable yellow pony to stare at him in his bed. Scratch that, he didn't expect a talking yellow pony in his bed.

Now what will they do?

Decided to do write something cute instead of whatever the hell my other story is. I might write some stuff here whenever I feel like I'm too burnt out from my other story.

Romance in this story is a big maybe.

This story is a sequel to Lightning to the nations

After a tiring day tying up loose ends as ruler of a planet and princess to a people, Twilight returns to find Jack having started an inadvisable hobby. The reasoning beyond this hobby becomes clear to her fairly quickly.

Kenneth, Equestria's top human detective (by default, being the only one) is given a case by Princess Celestia.

He proceeds to attack this case with all of his skill and wit. Which is to say, badly.

Life can be difficult, even downright depressing from time to time. There are times we let all that bottle up until it reaches a point of helplessness, which becomes our focus.

Sometimes, we can find solace in the most unlikely of places.

This short thing is in fact based off a dream and experience that I had just weeks ago that I decided to put into words. Logic would say the dream was just that, the creation of an overactive mind during slumber, the result of a pessimistic and frustrated attitude combined with the ever-churning thoughts of the continuation of my writings.

My heart begs to differ with that explanation...

Swords, hammers, knives, pikes, spikes; even rolling pins. Princess Celestia collects them, and stashes them within her private collection for few to see.

Anon notices that a few of them have very… choice labels.

Huzzah! It’s Anonymous’ day off! What glory it is to be free of any duties, and spending his free time goofing off with his buds!

What’s that? He’s bored? That simply will not do! Time to go visit Twilight, where nothing bad every happens and spells definitely absolutely never go wrong!
