Well, I can only really say that, as you said you had no direction or goal to go with this... it really shows in the story. But actually, it works in its favor, so you shouldn't worry too much. After all, I think those are supposed to be whimsical thoughts that an otherwise reckless pony can't help have at the time, so they would have no direction themselves, either. So the pace feels natural enough, and the structure overall is pretty decent.

I'd be saying more, but the story is, well, just that, so I can't go on. Just... keep up the good work, I guess. xD

This is a decent enough little fluff piece but, as Aliucon pointed out, it doesn't really go anywhere or say anything. Is that a bad thing? Not inherently, no... but it does mean that is what it is.

But still, very reasonable and reasonably written.
