No way of knowing, where we'll be going, our adventures never end.

E

Since their discovery generations ago the Smokey Mountains of eastern Tenneighsee have been the exclusive domain of the Hooffields and the McColts. It's not that either clan bans outsiders from entering their valley, it's just that very few ponies are crazy enough to volunteer to become collateral damage in the war between the two clans.

Each successive generation has found it just a little bit harder to find a special somepony as a result. And then one fine spring day Daisy May McColt found her true love in Gaitlinburg...

...Too bad he's a Hooffield.

Thank you! :yay:

I've enabled ratings for this story now.

"I found it highly unrealistic. I mean, you'd never see two mortal enemies fall in love with one another. It's ridiculous!"

Oh, the irony!

She chiseled out a chunk of rock from the mountain and loaded it onto the catapult. She quickly painted 'We will rock you!' on it and sent it on its way.

Okay, that was funny. :rainbowlaugh:

It was three weeks before either family made it to town and finally heard about the wedding. It was three years before any of them actually believed it. And that was only because of the card each family received with pictures of the happy family smiling back at them. White Lightning, Daisy May, and an adorable little colt. There was no return address.

This has got to be the saddest happy ending I've ever read at least to my knowledge. There may have been sadder happy endings that I just can't remember.

Thank you for the favorite! :yay: I like to think they reestablished contact with their families after Twilight & Fluttershy's visit ended the hostilities between them.

Sweet, sad, and still quite cute. This story is fine stuff and I'd love to see a continuation, even if the ending is clear.
