Rainbow dash gets the surprise of her life when she finds out Gilda and Pinkie pie are engaged, but even more surprising is how excited everypony else is for the upcoming ceremony. Can Rainbow dash learn to cope with her jealousy and be the best mare her friend deserves? Can Gilda deal with all these crazy ponies without snapping? Can Spike find anyone to date him? Personally I think the whole appeal of the pairing is how utterly, utterly (and exquisitely) crack it is.
And I'm glad to see that the author seems to be aware of that playing up the comedy as much as possible.

Oddly enough I'm actually a bit surprised that I haven't seen this yet given that I've seen a number of people speculate on the possibility of it. No they're not a natural pair, but then look at the popularity of the Twixie ship. Or the way fans latch onto couplings filled with squabbling (namely AppleDash and Rarijack). Pairing up Gilda and Pinkie would be exactly in the same vein, but so much more rife with comic potential considering the parties involved. In some ways it's almost a "natural" crack-pairing.

I wanted to do a pairing Ive absolutely never read in any other fic and I was surprised no one had tried this one. I looked everywhere to find it before I started writing. Nothing. Anywhere. I tried to think of any reason GildiePie would be weirder than Gilddash and I couldn't think of one. They do get into a nice pleasant fight in the next chapter but because its Pinkie Pie trying to make a sensible argument....well......

This is the most random thing ive ever read. GildaPie shipping... Hillarity ensued. I would 5 star this but ive feel I need to be harsher becuase there is a lot of wrongs in the writing, one of the worst cases being: ''She giggled as she licked the last bit of cloud off her fingers''

Really? How is it possible no one yelled at me about this before!?!? This is why I said I need feedback guys, I have a horribly short attention span. I actually had to edit my newest chapter 3 times because I used the word hands a few times.

The way I though about it while I was writing was, although they may have apologized, they have been making fun of Rainbow Dash since she was a filly, unlike Gilda who used to be her best friend. Gilda's actions were because of jealousy, hurt pride, and embarrassment. Those three are just fickle acquaintances who only praise Dash if she's winning something and seem content to make fun of her otherwise. At least that's the way I see it.
I really want to read more about these two! Awesome writing!
Damn, this had to be one of the funniest stories I have read in a long time. The first chapter was a bit weird for me, but everything after flowed much better. The jokes were great and Spike was especially a good element for the story. Keep going author!
