While everyone at the Friendship Festival is having the time of their lives, Tempest Shadow and Capper are out on the edge of the kingdom, wondering about where the road will lead them next.
While thinking about the future, the two reflect on their pasts, how they earned their titles and infamy, and how it shaped them into who they are today.
There will be some tie-ins to the MLP Movie prequel comics. If you haven't read those yet, I highly advise that you do, as they are all pretty amazing...
WHERE ARE MY MLP MOVIE CHARACTER TAGS, KNIGHTY?
Not sure about Capper but there is definitely a tag for Tempest.

Is there? I haven't seen it...
Excellent characterization . The dialogue is fluid and coherent with their personalities
Cause I'm the Friend you need
Capper truly is, a friend indeed.

Can we ship it? Yes we can!
Also, nice story.
Its good...?
Something just doesn't feel right for some reason, but its been a couple weeks since I saw the movie so my rusty memory might be throwing me for a spin.
something about Capper and the way he's potrayed doesnt feel right
not saying he offends me, but casting a Black guy (Taye Diggs) to play a character who sweet-talks women, steams things, hustles, and kidnaps is very....unfortunate casting
This story is great. the interactions between Tempest and Capper felt like what may happen after the movie and also a nice tie in to the comics as well.

No, we cannot ship different races. That would rekt every law in the universe.
Lot of surprise hit me in this story...... AND I LIKED IT!!!!

That hasn't stopped 50% of the fandom so far.
I like Capper's backstory in this fic, and how he and Tempest found something in common.
Actually, if there's a better description of what her horn does than fizzlepop, I don't know what it would be.
The only part that bothered me about this story was Tempest zapping Capper. That was uncalled for, especially after Twilight set an example by forgiving Tempest (and Capper) without wanting to get back at them.
I love this story.
