Having finally accepted the idea of shared love magic, Pharynx has transformed. Thorax's efforts to lead an excitable pack of changelings have only eased with his broodmate's help, but Pharynx's shape and status aren't the only things to have changed. Much of Pharynx's cold demeanor has begun to thaw, presenting Thorax with something he's never had, before - an interactive, albeit slightly irritating older brother.

This show is built around breaking gender stereotypes, so if people who claim to be a part of this fandom default to sexual interpretation because they find it wrong or weird for males - especially brothers - to display affection for one another, then somebody's not paying attention to the show they're watching. 
If some people see things sexually before platonically, that sounds more like thier problem than mine.

With all due respect, the relationship you have with your brother, by extension any other examples you could possibly give me, are not some golden standard that all possible sibling relationships need to be held to, or any others for that matter. This is what I'm talking about by gender stereotypes. This ingrained idea across our society that certain things, regardless their nature of innocence, are only for certain kinds of relationships between certain genders.

To the author - yesterday saw your story in new story section & thought ''cool i'm down for a good read/story''. i'd like to throw in my two cents into this...from the picture alone could be misinterpret as something sexual for people have too much time on their hands & read much into things these days! don't ship them sexually (although i did read one where they are!) but i like their dynamitic as brothers. ship thorax with spike. We all know thorax is gay asf!

also do like pharynx said about him being too open, then feeling alone and depressed about it. reminds me of a scene i've written out between the changeling bros in a story of mine. it involves incest but it's more about the relationship itself,musical & apart of tetralogy which means five in greek!

I couldn't find one dedicated fic of thier relationship that wasn't incest, and it greatly upset me. I have nothing against those who enjoy that, but the fact there was absolutely no fic building off thier relationship as seen in the show simply could not stand, for me. They have such an amazing and, frankly adorable dynamic, it should be explored.
