Attack on Titan Season 1 Part 2 Crossover (Chapter 14- Chapter 25)
"That day, the human race remembered the terror of being dominated by them, and the shame of being held captive in a birdcage..."
Enter a world where humanity is fighting for their survival. Over 100 years ago, a natural predator of humanity appeared: the Titans, giant humanoid but mindless monsters whose sole purpose of existence seemed to be to devour humans. There was an insurmountable gap in power between them and mankind, and as a result, humanity was rapidly exterminated to the brink of extinction. The survivors responded by constructing three concentric walls: Wall Maria, Wall Rose and Wall Sina, which graced them with a century of peace. However, one day a Colossal Titan far larger than any other seen before breached the outer wall, allowing the smaller Titans to invade the human territory and forcing the survivors to retreat to the inner walls. Eren Jaeger, a boy whose mother was eaten during the invasion, vowed to wipe every last Titan off the face of the Earth, and joined the military with adoptive sister, Mikasa Ackerman and childhood friends, Armin Arlert, Sunset Shimmer, Starlight Glimmer, Twilight Sparkle, Rarity, Fluttershy, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, and Pinkie Pie to take back on what was theirs.
I'm very confused by this. Specifically, I'm not sure who you're expecting to enjoy this? The narration seems to be written with the expectation that your readers have already seen Attack on Titan. I say this based mostly on that this story never explains what a Titan is, and a lot of other terms--wall worshippers is another one--are just thrown out matter-of-factly, as if they're expected to be ordinary. And there's hardly any description of what Eren and Mikasa, or anyone else for that matter, look like.
So my impression from all that is that this is meant for people who're fans of Attack on Titan--which is fine, that's certainly not an unreasonable intent when writing a crossover. But then essentially all that's here is the first episode copy/pasted to a different medium, with a couple cursory lines from pony characters thrown in but all the major plot beats left intact. So from that, I gather that the people this is written for aren't going to get anything out of this they haven't already seen.
In fairness, this is just a first chapter. I'm certainly willing to believe you're planning on deviating more from the source material later on than you already have--by which I mean I can't fathom why you wouldn't. But, genuinely, I'm not sure what you think the appeal of this first chapter is. There's not much at all to convince me that following this would be a better use of time than just rewatching the anime. So I'm really curious what your intent here is.
