I figured I'd take a week off back in June after going through hell all spring, and ended up not even looking at my fiction again for a month. Then I'd sit and stare at the page for hours at a time, unable to progress any further. So I tried skipping ahead, writing future scenes with the intention of going back and bridging them together at a later date. That only made things more complicated, so I ended up not being able to produce anything at all until the past few days.

Super epic sarcasm right there. I have never had a month so full of things which make me want to punch kittens in the face. Tried to get the third chapter of US out, but I only ever found time to write in the wee hours of the morning when I was so tired I couldn't even see straight. Not that anyone cares about what I do (or has any reason to, for that matter) but I'm working on another project, one that's been in on-again, off-again development since November 2010. My first ever attempt at steampunk writing. It's going to feature a largely original main cast, mostly because I'm better developing characters I know inside and out than working within existing bounds. It feels wrong somehow, putting words in the mouths of characters I didn't create. I dunno. I'm rambling.
