Not only am I planning on writing lengthy stories like What is Left, I've written two already. I just have to revise them, which will take some time, but I'm working on and focusing on one of them at the moment. Hopefully I'll have it done in not too long. Hard to say when. I'll work a little harder just for you,

I loved the situations, they were very real, I could relate to them. It was also thrilling, kept me wanting more, and the ending was unexpected, but amazing!! Are you planning to write more longer stories like what is left??

Make sure you use the reply button when responding to comments--if you do, the person you're responding to will receive a notification (if you don't use the reply function, the person you're responding to won't know that you've responded). The button is in the top-right corner of a comment. A number will appear when you do. Simply leave the code at the top of your comment and write your message. See how at the top of mine it says it's a reply to you? The number code will turn into the name of the person you're replying to when you post the comment.

As for your avatar, if you're using a non-mobile version of the site, simply hover over your account name at the top of the site (a list of options will appear), and select edit avatar. From there, you can either upload a picture or use a link to one.
