Someone paid for my lunch.
Needles to say I was flabbergasted.
Someone paid for my lunch.

Once upon a time Heraldry had been a hobby of mine.
OK, so this bit of rambling was inspired by speculation about the Ravenclaw heraldic blazon. Originally the shield was described as a bronze eagle on a blue field.
Blue and gold? Or is it blue and brown? Not to mention considerable division as to if it's an eagle or a raven.
OK, so I'm reading through an abandoned story when I find this:
“Do you know how to use a toilet?”
“Ah, you sit, do yer business, and then pull the leaver.”
“Which one?”
“Which one?” Cirrus had never heard of a toilet with more than one lever on it. Looking at what she presumed to be the toilet found that it looked a bit like a captains chair with multiple buttons.
“Maybe Earth ponies only have the one,” Flure suggested.
“Why are there so many buttons?”
OK, so I was watching a video on fan theories and thought I'd share one of my comments here. One theory is that Harry's Invisibility Cloak was a piece of the Veil... which really makes no sense to my way of thinking. They were also speculating on the connection between the three hallows.
As of this morning there are 12 chapters ready to go.
This morning something strange happened to my computer which had me in a borderline panic. It loads properly, I log in, I get the GUI ... and boom, I'm looking at a whited out window that I can't get out of. M$ help was no help, but it did eventually clear after restarting several times. And yes, an update got pushed to my machine last night.
Finished and posted up to the end of Book One of the Harry Potter series.
I will not be starting a new book/sequel at this time. All future posts will be added to Agents of Discord. Coming up, Summer Vacation, and what a vacation it's going to be.
Chapter progress has me up to chapter nine of The Chamber of Secrets. Including the Summer vacation arch, and Chamber of Secrets arch, I've approximately three months' worth of posts more or less ready to go.
Chapters are finished and uploaded, save for a final sweep before posting, up to where Book One of Harry Potter ends.
The beginning of book two is going to deviate at the start and will start with a bang.
And yes, Aerie gets the thing that she wanted when facing the stone Cheesmen. But you haven't read that yet.
Edit:
I've had a run of my fingers actually agreed to type what I wanted and Agents of Discord is up to the confrontation with Voldemort under the school. I still need to get everything uploaded and do final editing, but it's nearly complete to the end of where book one ends.
Things you can look forward to, Draco gets a new outlook on life, and Quirrell needs a new nappy.
OK, so... I'm reading through Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone for the umpteenth time when I spot this.
Chapter 14: The cut had turned a nasty shade of green. It looked like Norbert's fangs were poisonous.
I will have to admit that when I read through this the first time I was much younger and didn't catch it. Surprisingly it never got caught in editing. OK, for those who might be a little confused, here's an easy way to keep poisonous straight from venomous.
OK, so I was looking up information about Rubious Hagrid. So according to Tom Riddle's diary, (from the canon material) Hagrid was forever getting into trouble and at one point even tried raising werewolf cups under his bed. A werewolf is by definition a human that can a) transform into a wolf or wolf-like creature, and b) a human who is cursed and/or infected such that they turn into a wolf and/or wolf-like creature. Typically transform against their will when exposed to the light of a full
