Yeah, most of the genres I listen to are at least tangentially related to rock, but I wouldn't be adverse to metal; I just haven't listened to enough. I think Deep Purple, a band that I have an album of, is considered Metal, but only just barely.

yeah why not, also, I got into collecting vinyl's and CD's like 6 months ago, I'm not really a CD kinda of guy to be honest, i mainly collect vinyl's, most of my vinyl's are rap or rock, but i wouldn't mind buying vinyl's from any other genres like vapourwave, metal and etc

Electric Light Orchestra is my favorite band, but the genres I listen to the most are New Wave (also known as 80s music), progressive rock, and alternative/indie rock. There are albums I own and like that definitely fall outside of those genres, though.
If you're really curious, the link in my bio tagline has a list of all the bands I listen to, and I have another blog post that lists all of the albums I own. Both get updated whenever I purchase new albums. But seriously, there's a lot to scroll through, so only do so if you want to.
I probably have more than 80 cds, and around 12 or 13 records. I have a few 7 inch (45 rpm) vinyl singles as well.
And it's only been about 14 months since I started buying music.
