I don't think that the site sends out notifications for the publishing of a sequel of a story that people have tracked, but I do know that people get notified when I make a blog with the original story tagged. I have come to realize that, when I look at another user's page, I am wary about which stories I chose to read, even if I know I enjoy a particular user's work, because of a couple of reasons. The first is that I don't wish to examine everything in detail, only to be disappointed if I decide that a particular story isn't for me after all. The second reason is that I feel that the traditional descriptions on these stories doesn't tell you what to expect so much as attempt to draw readers in.

It occurs to me that while I have no problem writing stories for other people or commenting in my own stories, I have very rarely spoken a peep outside of them and my user page, though I have a couple times under strong circumstances. So, here I am back from the dead after twenty-four weeks. That means that about twenty-four weeks ago I was in the middle of a two week long visit with long distance family, and it has been twenty-four weeks since the piece of crap laptop I had at the time bit the dust. It just shut down unexpectedly one day and I couldn't get it to come back on. It didn't take me long to notice a smell coming from the thing.
