So, like a week ago, I decided it would be fun to go on a 60km+ bike ride alone up into the mountains and back again in 34 degree (Celsius, you barbarians) heat with like 4 hours until sunset. I got up to the summit just fine, and went a good part of the way down, but I was heading down an offroader trail, and it wasn't awfully smooth, as you might expect.
Anyway, this wood pigeon flew out in front of me, temporarily breaking my concentration, which just so happened to be when I went over a substantial bump. Anyway, I go over my handlebars, hit, and roll over gravel. Three main areas of lacerations, and my wrist fucking hurt like hell.
Managed to limp down the mountain, and got an examination + xray the next day. The scaphoid bone in my dominant hand showed symptoms of fracture, but the xray showed nothing conclusive. Anyway, turns out this bone is very important, so I got a cast, and they're gonna check again for a fracture in 4 days. Wrist still hurts, so I'm not awfully optimistic.
