Hello everyone and welcome back to the Question of the Week. I know it's another early blog but due to this pertaining to a contest that is going on, I figured the sooner the better.
Currently there is a Science Fiction Story Contest going on, which I am hoping to finish up my Neo Somnambula story for.
So, the question is, of all the ponies in the show, who do you think would be a cool character to see as a full conversion cyborg for a cyberpunk setting? What cybernetics would you give them?
...And why?

Look up the whole gamut of cybernetic and bionic augmentation in the entire Cyberpunk 2020 or Shadowrun universes. Some of these augmentations could almost seem like super or magical powers. Things ranging from faster reaction time that would allow you to draw a weapon faster and intercept a punch to increased physical strength that would allow you to punch through a wall or flip a car to dermal and sub-dermal armor plating to the ability to remotely hack into items or dive into the internet 2.0/matrix.
Of course Shadowrun has magic as part of its setting, so a character with cybernetic/bionic augmentations who can also sling spells isn't unheard of.
I'm considering a few for the sequel to The Once and Future Elements. (I will not have it ready for the contest, but I have another idea for an entry.) I hadn't thought much about their augmentations, more on their character and interaction with ponies who are close to them. In general, in my magic tech setting, they would have species-specific mods (artificial horn for a unicorn, replacement wings for pegasi, muscle enhancement for earth ponies) and increased speed and armor for all.

Scootaloo. If biology has failed her, then that's where the engineers step in. If you need an explanation for how she affords it, say she got an inheritance after her father died in a freak stingray accident.
5715914 Hmm what about Maud Pie? Her personality kind of fits with more of a cyborg type character.
A companion of the dear Doctor, or Time Turner, would probably be my pick. So far, it is either the fan favourite Doctor pair Derpy, or it could be Roseluck. The first companion of the 2010 rebooted Doctor Who, Rose Tyler.
Or Minuette. Because cutie mark. Also because early fandom like to speculate that these two are of similar... kind.
I could imagine Doctor Whooves worrying about
Cybermenthe overuse of cybernetics. He is the science and technology expert, but no one takes his words seriously because he isn't the body specialist. And because cybernetics are very convenient.He probably has a few small cybernetics too, like tracking time on his HUD and a "skeleton key" like sonic screwdriver.

Personally I'm team Roseluck when it comes to Doctor Whooves, but the others are good too.
