So, I’ve been rping a slowburn tyrant Spike story with my partner and another friend, and I was thinking about either refining and posting it, or making a different Spike Story.

Would anyone want to read that?

So, why does he turn into a tyrant, eventually? Because Canon Spike isn't really "tyrant" material like King Sombra, Lord Tirek, or the Storm King.

Through plot potatoes, he ends up eating more and more magical artifacts that slowly change his personality that makes him easier to snap.

i cant explain more without reaching spoiler territory.

Spike having a harem? Yes. All my yes.

I just hope you don't try to appease all the ships out there that are possible. That wouldn't be possible to begin with without bending over backwards somewhere along the lines.

So if you do decide to do this, my advice would be to avoid trying to appease everyone. Because that will be impossible.

Well all I'm saying is don't try to go super crazy with it. There are people out there who don't like Spike having certain females in his harem. The most major complaints I've seen to date are the dragon with Celestia, Luna, and Cadence. Those three seem to be the ones people get the most pissed off seeing spike with. In fact, I've only see ONE Spike x Celestia fic on this site, and it's been so long that I forgot the title of it.

I also do remember that said story was pure clop. I think the main reason writers tend to ship Spike with every creature but Celestia and Luna might be because they old. They be real old.

Cadence on the other hand…well that reasoning is more understandable since she marries Shining Armor.
