State of the Scribe: April 2023 · 7:01pm Apr 1st, 2023
Hello Pones!
Pretty significant month for me, even if things on the schedule aren't changing much. At the end of this month, I'll be removing "Student" from my profile after far too long. I wouldn't have been able to make it this far without the contributions of my patrons. I'd like to begin by offering my deep, personal thanks to my patrons your support, allowing me to do something I loved so dearly during these years of my life.
I'm not going anywhere as an author--I wouldn't leave all these stories unfinished. In fact, I'll be able to write much more now that my time is more fervently devoted to authorship. Still, it's a significant transition, and I'll say more about it as I cross that threshold and get more original fiction published.
The most significant development this month is of course the addition of a new Hardcover to the collection, Homebrew:

I'll post again once I have real photos from the printer, then again when the campaign ships, since I love posting photos of boxes and boxes of books. Nothing satisfies my values more deeply than that.
No new developments in my writing for the month otherwise. We have the same suite of stories continuing. Still haven't run out of weekly chapters for Words of Power, and there's some amazing art coming down the pipeline for it this month. Don't Bug Me is still going strong, not sure how long Amie will need to save all the bug-humans stuck in Equestria. A little while longer.

Similarly, Deep Below is a Splatoon story, exploring the fate of humanity and their return into a world now dominated by ink-based life. Both of these will get full Epub/PDF releases as soon as they're complete. But until/unless we ever get a genfic, I can't post them here.

Oh, I've actually thought to myself that you've had that "Student" bit in your bio for quite a while now. Good luck on finishing your degree! I graduated last year after going way past the regular amount of time needed for my degree and the last stretch in particular was hell, but I'm glad I have that behind me.
