Hey there! It's been...well, certainly longer than a minute. Many many minutes.
I've tried to think of several ways to write this all out, but to be honest, being short and simple is better here. I've been gone for six, almost seven months on hiatus. Some were no doubt not sure why I've been gone so long. There's been a lot that's happened for me.
- My job has become increasingly busy and demanding to the point that there is almost no time to write ever, instead of having solid blocks of time to write.
- I burned out on commission writing because I took on too much at one time. I made it look like things were fine, but in reality, I put too much of myself into working on it all and broke my will to write.
- My father, who has been fighting cirrhosis and various other diseases, finally passed on July 3rd. We laid him to rest on the 8th. That has been in the background of things for the better part of 2 years.
I am trying to get myself back into the pilot seat to start writing again. My most recent story was me shaking the rust off and trying to get to being Steel Quill again. It was alright, but I know I can do better. I haven't sat idle this whole time while I was on hiatus: I've practiced writing in other places, and tried to do better and become better. I've gotten a start on several stories, such as:
1. A Saffron Masala story
2. Neighborly Seduction 4
3. A Luna story sequel to Summertime Getaway
4. A sequel to Rumble in the Spa
5. A new Chrysalis story
6. A Fleur de Lis story
I know people are asking about commissions, and several of you have already PM-ed me about them. For right now, I'm wanting to try and get out at least one more story before opening commissions again. I'm doing this to make sure I'm able to work out a proper writing pace and work ethic again, and to make sure and see if people are in fact still willing to work with me. I'll be adjusting a couple things on my commission guidelines, but that'll be down the line.

Your hiatus is perfectly understandable and alright. Take your time, don't rush things, and it'll turn out fine I'm sure, heh.

Dude, sorry about your dad man. Trust me I've been there before as I lost my dad in 2014 so I know what you're going through but no need to rush coming back buddy. Take as much time when you need
That's rough about your dad. Mourn however long you need to and take your time such that work stabilizes and you can get back into writing again. We'll be here waiting.
That must have been a really heavy burden for your mental psyche. Just take it one day at a time. Life finds a way to heal itself. 🌻 🙂
Honestly,I'm surprised that you have another chapter in store for "Neighborly Seduction",Summertime Getaway",and "Rumble in the Spa". All I can say is I hope that Luna doesn't mind sharing Lodestar with her elder sister,imagining Vinyl having a little fun with Copper while Octavia is away,and what Mrs. Shy has in store for her next Spa day with Rumble. Plus,you have new stories for Chrysalis and Fleur-de-lis and a new story featuring Saffron. Sounds like you're slowly getting back into full steam again. Can wait to see what
