So, due to inconsistency errors with Nathan's history, weaponry, and even some of the current events with Everfree Guardian, I cannot continue the actual story within the book its posted under, nor can I continue Burning Sins under the same guise as a remake. Too many fantastical elements on Earth occurred, including elements of Nathan's strengths that rendered him untouchable during fight scenes as well as the three-year long genocide without consequences.
So, there will be an official remaster simply titled "Ever Free", and will have new character development, a more sinister history to justify Nathan's villainous behavior and use of guns and killing, and new friends and households to start him out with.
I apologize for doing this again, but it was the only way before, and it's the only way, now. The reason why I'm not simply unpublishing and republishing remade chapters is for the sake of those doing audio books of these stories.
as long as it is not canaled , by the way im curios. is nathen going to get a magical artifact form the cave like the alicorn amulet or phantom ruby or something like blue beetles scar up. And is he going to get some pay back on shining armor and the others that did him harm just queues ?

The new story will have elements of both Everfree Guardian and Burning Sins. But, altogether, it will be it's own separate thing. Burning Sins and Everfree Guardian will be discontinued when the new story has attributed all the needed aspects of both stories and will likely be taken down like A Man in a Mare's World was. This is to follow Fimfiction's guidelines when it comes to posting new stories with similar elements. It's to prevent the system from marking it down as Plagerism by mistake.
I'm fine with it, as long it continues.

That's because without the right setup, they won't amount to anything. I'm trying to get Nathan's character right while also meshing him well with both the reality of Earth and the fantastical elements of Equestria. I don't know why, but that's extremely difficult.
This isn't like any other Anon. He isn't just a self-insert green man with a generic focus. Nathan has purpose, but each time I put focus on that purpose, another element of MLP, both in Gen 4 and Gen 5 throws it out of proportion, hence why Everfree Guardian is thrown off the rails with its inconsistencies and how Burning Sins is too gung-ho for Nathan's first rodeo against a gang group called the Pathogens.
I need to establish him under a few main rules:
1. His past will not be revealed immediately. There will be hints dropped every now and again (preferably very short dream sequences), but never the whole story so the reader can continue speculating about his motives and personality.
2. His abilities are purely human. Whether skillful or otherwise, I need to base him in the mind and body of a natural human male. No excessive injuries. No over-the-top gunslinger skills. Just an average joe with a adept grasp of firearms and a sense of disturbed content in taking another person's life.
3. The right friends need to be established at the beginning of the story. The right Ponies need to be there to not only show a sort of dedication to befriending Nathan, but also alleviate any concerns of foul play when he does, eventually, become a part of Equestria's society.
Trust me, I'm more pissed than anyone else that this has not been working. That's why it's been taking so long (as well as work and other projects) to successfully create a story where Nathan can develop alongside the canonical flow of MLP FIM. Perhaps I can paint him as a more villainous character? Another user on this site has been sending me good backstories to use. Suggestions here and there that can help make Nathan a character with flaws and regrets just like any other human, but to a more extreme extent.
It's just... hard, I guess. I can't seem to make him stick anywhere without the narrative going off in a spot that I can't bring him back from, and it sucks that I can't move forward because I hadn't designed the story to do that.
