Chapter 5 first thoughts

Spoilers! Spoilers! Don’t read if you haven’t watched the episodes yet. Also this is literally from skim watching the chapter so this isn’t professional.

Well, S##t. Opaline can teleport, now she’s able to steal Cutie Marks, and she’s going after the dragons.

Good thing she’s still too arrogant to notice Misty is playing her like a fiddle and now our heroes have a chance thanks to the map Sunny and Zipp found.

I like that Sunny is joining Zipp on her investigations. Shows she’s taking the alicorn position seriously even if it’s not mentioned. Better be careful, Hitch. She might be moving in on your future mare if you’re not careful.

And, how can I not get excited about Misty meeting her dad! It was the big thing I was waiting for regarding this chapter; and it payed off.

And now I shall attempt to sleep so I don’t complain during my classes later.

Misty and Alphabittle were by far the best part of this chapter! I really like how their relationship was portrayed and how their time apart has affected them personally. With Alphabittle trying to make up for lost time and relive old memories, and Misty wanting to make a connection with him but struggling with her own sense of identity at the same time. But despite all that, it didn't change things between them and they continued to remain on good terms.
