Thoughts:
Hoh boy, this past month.
To be honest I don't know what I was expecting out of this except maybe finish RftK and possibly a chapter of TWH to go with it. I really didn't think when I started that I'd hit the goal, let alone soar past it. I figured I'd get maybe close to 20K, call it good enough, and just fart around for December before getting bumed again that so little progress was being made.
What I got was actually keeping up with 1K words a day, enough words to make multiple chapters, and the fire to keep the writing going until at least the Magical Mystery Cure chapters are done (I'm already at 4K words and still have a while to go, so I already know it's going to be a two chapter thing). I also got a good bit of stress out of this with trying to keep up with the daily goal. If I end up doing this again next year, I'm lowering the target to 500 words a day and an overall 15K target.
But yeah, we got three main story chapters coming up as well as the last chapter of RftK as well as it's epilogue. That means I can focus solely on TWH until season 3 ends, then the EqG spinoff will begin. If I'm truly back in the saddle, if I've found the want to get this story back on track and told, this time next year we might just be celebrating the end of the first movie. Nice goal to think about, ain't it? As for the near future, I want to get the MMC episode done before the new year, more accurately in the next three weeks, this way I can give all of you what I wanted to do back in June:
Celebrate this story's 10th anniversary with an entire month of Midnight.
Finger's, hooves, claws, talons, and whatever else crossed.

For now I'm telling Weight Watchers to screw off and having a triple baconator to celebrate.
