Update on Ponefics and the Odd Squad Secret Valentine's Exchange · 5:50am February 5th
After a bit of a delay, I've finally got a good springboard to begin writing my story for the Odd Squad Discord server's Secret Valentine's Exchange! Huzzah!
Unfortunate part is, I only have ten days to bang out the fic -- it's due right on the 14th, natch. And if my ADD doesn't cooperate, chances are I'll be seeking out an extension of a few days.
So Double Residency and Solar and Lunar -- my two major multichapter projects -- will be set to the back burner until around the 20th. As this is my first fic exchange in my 12 years of writing, as well as the first time I'm using someone else's OC, I want to really put my all into this story and not half-ass it or get a slew of "that's not even my OC!" or "how OOC!" or "could this be the worst writing you've ever put out?" comments. So I'm going to take my time.
"Marmy, don't be so stressed!" you say. "Did you skip the part where I said it's my first time using an OC that's not my own?" I respond. "High bar has been set, friendo!"
Wish me luck...whoooooo boy. If my story sucks ass, it certainly won't be for a lack of trying. But then...that's true for all my stories, huh?
