    Always Read Da Rules

So I recently saw the site wide contest regarding a story that consists only of dialog.

And I thought "Hey! I have a story that is all dialog already!"

So I went in, did a few little edits to make Celestia sould more Celestial, and then went to see how to submit my little tale.

    The Bean is loose!

Okay. Somebody left the front gate open, and Baked Bean has gotten out and wandered off again.

If you happen to spot him, do not approach, do not get him wet, do not expose to direct sunlight, and whatever you do, don't feed him after midnight. (It makes him gassy.)

    Follow up to Bleh

    Modmyths asks:

Have you thought about starting up a Go Fund Me for it?

(It being my broken water line, just to be clear.)

The answer is no, I hadn't thought of that.

    But!

I went out and got more bids, and found a general contractor who could do the job for 3k.

Anyone got about 8 grand lying around?

Stupid main water line break grumble grumble...

Cutie Mark Crusader Pipe-Fixers & Hole-Diggers, Yay?

But more seriously: Ouch... That really sucks :applecry:
I suppose there isn't any chance that insurance (or the city, depending on where the pipe broke) will cover parts of the costs?

Sadly no. Homeowners insurance doesn't cover water leaks. And the city checked and it's not on their side.

Can you post photos of where the break is? Might give the more plumber inclined here the ability to offer better solutions.

Wish I could. Problem is there's no obvious leaks or soggy ground. But you can hear water flowing even after the main shutoff in the house is turned off.

At least it's not on top of your electrical main, right? Because I've got a true story about that...

5770318
I hope not! Pretty sure the electric comes in on the other side of the house.

Is your meter spinning? Mine is right next to my neighbor’s and I can hear when their pipes are flowing even when mine is completely shut off.

5770358
It is. We cut off the inside supply and the city worker verified the meter was still rolling. :fluttercry:

I had a leak detection company come out today, and they isolated where it is, so at least we know where-ish to attack.

Have you thought about starting up a Go Fund Me for it?

I don't have much, but I'd be willing to contribute on payday.

I honestly didn't think of that.
