One final thing... · 7:36pm April 4th
I have been advised by no less an authority than CHS acting Vice-Principal Ms. Cheerilee to use the upcoming Midnight Rising chapter as strictly a recap to relaunch the story, and not get into Lemon Zest until the following chapter, when I can devote a full entry to it without any split in focus. No, really. She did. You’ll see what I mean when the chapter launches, but basically, I’m going to make this kind of an interlude chapter where I catch new or returning readers back up and explain what happened/what’s going on.
It’ll be a bit meta, folks, and like everything else regarding this mess, it’s an imperfect solution. But if I’m removing the griffon chapters to a different story, then some explanation will be needed for readers coming in cold regarding the major events of the arc and why all of Sunset’s friends are suddenly commenting in full meta fashion.
The chapter will then end with Ms. Cheerilee appearing in the comments section herself (in her guise of the school’s creative writing instructor) to gently but firmly chastise Sunset about the narrative going astray, explaining why it doesn’t work and how to correct it. And as Sunset is standing in for me here, expect her to take it about as well as I did.
Despite that, there will be some at least some adult action, mostly implied through the peanut gallery, though the chapter will end on a very serious note with both Sunset and myself needing a break before continuing the story. But continue I will. I hereby pledge that you will get the Lemon Zest chapters before the end of April, even at the cost of delaying other works. After taking you all on this detour nobody asked for, it’s the least I can do.
The new chapter is about a day away from completion, so prereaders, stand by. Once you’re done with C&C, this will be next. In the meantime, I’m pulling the Enter the Griffon chapters tonight and will relaunch them over in what is now Unleash the Magic: Temptations and Transformations. I’ll start with three chapters tonight and then do the remaining three at the rate of one per day to try to drum up interest over there.
EDIT: Due to the pleas of multiple readers, I have changed my mind and decided not to remove the chapters. I'll instead go with my original plan to let folks have the option to skip over them, once the first chapter after goes live. Look for one last blog post tomorrow explaining all this. And I'm sorry for the flip-flop.
Well now I'm curious about what happened to Luna if Cheerilee has to serve as acting VP...
In any case, sounds like a plan. Here's hoping it goes smoothly.

Nope. Multiple readers have now begged me to keep the chapters in place, including the one who commented on this blog right after you. So that's what I'll do, going with the original plan to simply offer new readers the chance to skip over them now that they're finished.
