Unfortunately, my aging laptop has begun the process of killing itself, with the first meaningful victim being the "d" key. Currently, the only way I can type it is by copy-pasting the letter into place, which is neither efficient nor effective. It means I can no longer write in the past tense with any "ed" suffixes, as well as a slew of other important words like word! Yeah, it's not great, there's no real reason since the keys are clean. Maybe it's the wiring itself because when I took it apart and pecked at it for a few minutes, no signal went through. Anyways, I may be completely incapable of typing/writing now, which is shitty, and I'm not sure if it's a problem that can be fixed.
Update: Found the "On-screen keyboard" option, and while still inconvenient, it works quick enough for me. Hopefully I'll get in the hand of it soon enough.
This happened to me over the last three months, it started with my laptop’s “C” and “A” keys and spread to the F1 and F5 keys, eventually bricking the entire left side of the keyboard and at that point, I threw it away.
Mine started with the N key. Typed a lot of "Rai Ctrl+V bow" and yeah that got old very quickly.

I was going to suggest downloading a digital keyboard until you can get a new computer.
Another option is to buy separate keyboard. One that interacts with your computer via USB slot or Bluetooth wireless.
